  • i believe hes trying to demonstrate the snatch grip shrug.now this exercise really hits the traps hard.also,the snatch grip deadlift and shrug.start with a snatch grip deadlift from the floor,come up like in a regular dead,and procede directly into a shrug before putting the bar to the floor.absolutely killer-5x5 on both.

  • scott, my hands always get blisters after i do this exercise... is it normal? is there any method to avoid those blisters?

  • how many times did you up your weights on your sets before you noticed you were diesel? I guess i should ask increments, too.

  • I don't recommend doing this if  you have rotator cuff problems.

  • what if we do closer grip? what will that work more on?

  • @super1range I'm pretty sure it still works things the same, but the wider grip helps more for training as far as muscle confusion goes, as your raising your shoulders on a sightly different angle.

  • i always have a problem with shrugs with the barbell. when i shrug the bar gets caught under my manhood and kinda flops it up an down wen.  any suggestions?

  • @adjuvants12780 hahaha i have the same problem...before i do my shoulder workout i usually wear smooth shorts to let the bar glide across my thing.. or u can just use dumbells...do what u prefer

    If you lean forward keeping good strict form and do the shrugs you will be shrugging up just like here but it will working your traps on your back rather than your shoulders/neck

  • yeah it's a good workout I known about and use it, but not as much cause I hate how the bar rubs on your penis all the time it's uncomfortable
