Lanayru is just utilizing Link in the story about the Dark Interlopers. The thing about Ilia being there and almost using a knife is when its talking about how a war broke loose between the people over the Triforce and Sacred Realm and the races turned against each other. And the part when they're white-eyed and running for the Triforce is telling a little more about the story and how the people were blinded by their own greed over the Golden Power.

Plus, it's a teaser TOO because it makes the person think about what happened before this, what's happening now, and what's going to happen. It makes the person want to get the game to see what happens. But it's called a spoiler for a reason: it spoils what's going to happen to the person playing.

@deesww If you have seen this cutscene you will understand. There was a happy world when Triforces and Gods weren't the important part of life. But when Sacred Realm was open people started to fight against eachother just for power and selfish reasons and betrayed people they loved. That's why Ilia held a knife in her hand, because powers were more important then anything else, they could kill for it.
