I have a guess that for some people snoring could be like hypnosis that could even rather induce sleep. What happens is is the person sleeping with the snorer stops hearing the snoring and then in a few minutes hears it again. What does this mean? It means the person was asleep when the snoring wasn't heard for those few minutes. Then the person wakes up to the snores again only that it's hours later or even in the morning.
