I love G37's. When you come out of a corner wide open and watch the tach snap over to 7,000 and you just click the paddle it is such a great feeling :D
@ostreds: Curious why you hate your G37 so much? I own a 335xi coupe and had the dinan stage 2 chip, it pulled like a bull charging on red. Clocked a 12.4 1/4. But since it's been back to stock, it's boring. I will say, from 80-120, even in stock form, it blows the G away and the pull at that speed is addicting. I loved this car, then the problems started with the high pressure fuel pump, software updates, fuel injector, fuel sensors and it's been in unscheduled service 7 times since march 1

@srpsbb2000 Yep. Had an M3. Loved the car--that is when it was running fine. Way too many issues for a car of that caliber. BMW has a lot to learn from other reliable car makers.
I have this car and hate it. After 6 yrs in a BMW 330I and 335I, there's no comparison. The BMW blows it away in all aspects. Now I have 2.5 yrs till I can get out of this gas guzzling, no torque car. Looking forward to the 2012 BMW 3.
Nice video man... we got my mom a 2009 G37x coupe for Christmas this year (coming from an 07 G35x sedan). I love her new G37x coupe .... especially in DS mode! I get to drive it once a week usually and always have fun!
Thanks for posting this video. I love, love, love the sound of this 3.7 liter engine. They finally mated it to a worthy transmission too. Really, there's not much reason to spend money on a V6 Altima or Maxima, when you can spend a few thousand more on one of these, or get a pre-owned one for the same price!
Yup, automatic. DS mode which stands for drive sports allows for sportier driving that allow the car hold a gear longer and also speed up gear changes.
wow the gears in the g37x are a lot shorter than my 06 g35 2nd takes me to 65mph and here it only takes the g37x to 50mph at 7100 rpm.. I guess since drive mode can change gears so fast they shortened the lengths to get a better 0-60 time
the only reason why the gears are so short is from the new 7 speed auto. Normally with a 5 or 6 speed it would be able to reach over 60mph in second gear but the 7 speed gets there in 3rd gear.
the 7 speed is lighter than the orignal tranny and thx to the extra overdrive ratio, the engines cruises more quietly and is more efficient on the highway.
man that nissan engine is amazing

@srpsbb2000 A stock 335i will NOT blow the G away 80-120. That's actually where the Infiniti is strongest. At best, you might crawl away slowly.

@topgearulz you care so much you take 2 minutes out of your day to respond. so you actually care more. And, you know I am right.
ostreds 1 year ago
@ostreds nope still dont really care
topgearulz 1 year ago
@ostreds Yes, because a 330i has more torque, right? BS. Only the 335i comes close to this thing.

@ambientflier Have you driven a 335? There's no comparison. I'm the idiot for leasing this G37, but never again will I go to Infiniti.
Anyone want a G37xS with 27 months remaining??
