WTF is this shit!? u_u... is Bringing on a hearbreak the unique killer song from Def Leppard?... I mean.. this is shit compared with the great early def leppard!. u_u
MrPrestonL--yes it was David Essex. I believe it was in 1989 that Michael Damian's cover of this song went to No. 1 Michael also rereleased this song on his latest album out April of this year. I was a huge MD fan as a teenager, and still love his versions, but DL's is awesome
These guys are WAY above the hair metal B.S. they actually have talent!! Joe Elliott is still HOT! I saw them in concert in 1988...they ROCKED the Richmond Coliseum!! Joe in his torn up jeans!!!
not hair metal, they predated hair metal. Hair metal came about after shitty bands realized they could use the same sucess formula to get famous, then (25 years later) wish they were dead for becoming famous. Fucking idiots if you ask me, which you didnt, but weh
The J. Geils Band (pronounced "Guiles") is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Worcester, Massachusetts, that had a successful R&B-influenced blues-rock sound in the 1970s, before moving towards a more pop-influenced sound in the 1980s, which brought them MTV airplay and their 1982 international hit single, "Centerfold." Since their initial break-up in 1983, the band has reunited several times.
thanks - i meant it as a cheeky comment, i did look it up 3 hours ago, i do not remember them making a huge impact in France with their tunes : DL got booed off stage but that J Geils band did not go on selling multi platinums - thank God indeed.
I saw them in 1978, they opened for J Geils and were in their teens. Shamefully they got booed off the stage after only two songs as J Geils was super hot then. I liked them, the crowd at that time did not like them at all. I'll never forget the lead singer giving us all the finger while walking off stage.
i had not heard the original David Essex version and just listened to it : i really feel like somebody forgot to hit the switch on the guitars ;-) after listening to the DL version with their unmistakable paw-print touch.
I love the 'paw print touch' comment. They are amazing. I love this song. I'm about to listen to the D E version- I've never heard it. I'll be sure to let ya know how I feel about it.
I just went to the Def Leppard, Poison, and Cheap Trick concert in Kansas City. Def Leppard still rules and still rocks my world! The sound amazing live.
