  • In an unusual way, this video is calming probably because of the tranquil forest sound... very interesting video

  • hi, like your observations that you made in the field..like also the intense colours of your movie...I also studied ants farming aphids...hopefully you like my film also...

  • the ants farm aphids and drink the secretion(sugar/dew) the ladybug is the annoying asain ladybug keel it

  • @tinkerlover91 then better go dance or something, this is for cultivated superior minds not for the average sheep like you...

  • get alot of lady bugs and kill all the fuckin aphids

  • This is happening on the plumb trees in my back yard, it has killed them and It's become a nuisance. We're going to get rid of the trees next year...

It's sad really, we were looking forward to having some plumbs.

  • I had read about this when I was a child but never got the chance to observe the phenomenon! Thank you!

  • Did you know that some species of ant are also horticulturalists. Some species of ant cut pieces of leaf and bring it back to their colony so that a certain type of fungus may be grown on it. It is the fungus they eat. Ants are fascinating. They were growing things to eat and herding other insects thousands of years before humans did the same. Good video.

  • Wouldn't that make the ant "myoculturists" not "horticulturists"?

  • i hate fucking aphids and fucking ants

  • 1:04 look... It's the murderer...

  • the lady bug right?

  • Yup, it's a vicious murderer!

  • this is nice! but what are the ants trying to do ?

  • They're collecting the aphids for food. The Ladybug is also an enemy to the aphids.

  • ants are "tending" aphids. Basically by tickling aphids with their antennae they encourage aphids to secreate honewdey - sugary liquid which ants will use as food. It is similar to how people are milking cows.

  • they also carry their "herds" of aphids to different plants, once it has withered and died, and they protect the aphids from predators

  • @Parkjisung91, the aphids give off a sugary liquid, which the ants feed on.

  • hear the birdcalls... i have the same birds in the pond next to my house. love that sound =D

  • what kind of birds are they? sounds familiar to me too

  • It's a red-wing blackbird.

  • beautiful video!!

  • Preety cool i like fire and carpenter or even worker ants but what sucks is that im allergict to them. :(

  • this video makes sense
