I am 5 '9". Heels make me feel like a giant, teetering around. Ballet flats and loafers are classic shoes and no more granny-looking than a turtleneck sweater. or tailered shirt. Also, thongs are a source of infection, and pretty gross if you think about it. White cotton briefs are granny panties- not everything but a thong or boy shorts. I like the concept. I was wearing old-fashioned glass frames for way too long...but this is too extreme.

Charla, some of us can not wear heels-back problems. I love them, wore them for years but now I can not wear anything over 1" because of disc problems. But there are many, many attractive styles of flats but what is wrong with ballet flats?
