It would be nice if youtube allowed video makers to choose what videos appear on the right side of their videos..sometimes the choices to the side have nothing to do with what the current video is showing.
@Dustycajungurl You should put that on her channel. Ive been contemplating canning some butter, myself, and Id hate to waste it as expensive as it is. I think people would rather know the proper way of doing things (if her instructions are off). Im going to check out the endtimesreport site, though, before I do any butter canning. watch?v=BV9lC0u24Ik
@Dustycajungurl they do have refurbished Excalibur's on their site. They say they are new, such as store models etc. just lettin you know. Before I got my Ex..... someone gave me their round one with no temp control and everything on bottom dried first, causing for tray rotation. It is now sitting in the garage.
@Dustycajungurl I recently purchased an Excalibur dehydrator, I LOVE IT! I really did some homework and concluded this is the one I wanted. Has temp control, timer (if you want it), square and easy to clean. Not loud and does a Great job. I did another batch of oranges, this time letting it dry so when you break it, it snaps like a potato chip. I put them in a vac jar, will see how they do. I vac bagged the first batch, may open as I didn't dry as long. So I want to see how they are.
Do the oranges and lemons sometimes feel moist when you take them out? Mine sound just like yours when dropped onto counter, but when I put them in a jar they seem to start turning brownish. Also, when i put them in a glass jar, can I leave them on the counter or do they have to be refrigerated? When on the counter, do you always put an oxygen obsorver inside? I just Vacuumed jars with dehy'd broccoli, peas, carrots, but i have no absorbers. I just started doing this. Will they be ok?
@LionGoddess1 - I like 'em fresh too! Dehydrated offers long shelf life and easy preparation. Having your own dehydrated food supply is essential. It lasts for up to 30 years and is your insurance policy in case of emergency. See us at DehydratedPreparedFoods for more details. Best wishes!
Thank you! To tell if your oranges or lemons are fully dehydrated, I usually break it in half. If it is not flexible, it is dehydrated. You can also listen to its sound, as you drop it on the counter.
I usually dehydrate citrus at 125 degrees.
So glad you enjoy my videos. i love making them too.
do you have to store the oranges (slices and chunks) and lemons in the fridge? or can they stay on the counter? -- thanks!

Save any citrus peels or 'butts', dry, grind, and load into capsules for your own vitamin c capsules.

@LionGoddess1 its more fun to do it this way...

@LionGoddess1 wrong. if you dehydrate them under 115 degrees then the enzymes are fine
