You do know that there is a Windows 7 app available from the App Store on Apple don't you? It syncs your phone, music (apart from DRM'd stuff) photos from your phone to your Mac.
@batwench I downloaded the Windows 7 app and it does precisely bugger all. I can't transfer files via the app, via Bluetooth or even using the USB cable and having the device set as a hard drive.
WHY have they made it so difficult? Do I just have to Skydrive everything? It's not even as if I can download from my Dropbox without a PAID app.
Uploading my music from computer to the Cloud and then having the phone download it again is a total waste of time.
@johnnyfreebase Mine works fine, I just connect and off it goes. It is doing the update as I type. I suggest that you uninstall it and re down load it and try again. You seem to know what you are doing so you have probably already done that. When did you download the App? I got my phone just before Crimbo so it was then, if you did yours before it may be an older version with bugs. TTFN and good luck. Bats
According to Charlie Kindel, Partner Group Program Manager at Microsoft, Microsoft is planning to send all smaller updates over the air (OTA) to the users (Windows Phone 7 Phones) directly via Wi-Fi or 3G and larger updates will be made available on the desktop through the Zune Software.
This is so frustrating. I have a Mac and a Linux laptop. So my Nokia Lumia simply CANNOT be updated? Am I going to have to take it into a shop or something? Why on earth is it not compatible with other systems?

Except of course you can't EVEN use Skydrive because it only lets you view files from your handset. There is no option to download and store locally.

Tried downloading it (without much hope) to my Macbook Air.

Zune? No thanks. That's why I am avoiding WP7 phones.
