@wilbon27 I liked his drumming better than Matt Sorums. I know Matt was technically a better drummer, but Steven's playing on Appetite for Destruction really brought a lot of character to the table. He is raw, but a good drummer in my opinion. He has may be lost a step or three since the golden days though. :)

While the singer is no Axl, I've heard far worse attempts at Mr. Brownstone. I actually prefer him to Scott Weilands version of Mr. Brownstone. This guy stays closer to the original and his voice suits the song more.

Steven seemed a tiny but shakey in places, but everywhere else this is just killer!!!! Its the proper appetite groove. Ive seen Axls band play this song, velvet revolver play this song & GNR play it on the Illusion tour. This is the only one with the right groove.

Exactly, the swing's not there, the groove, the rhythmic attitude of the gutters of Hollywood in the 80s (esp after a bender at the Rainbow i'd assume). Adler was so important to the dangerous vibe of the early Guns.

steven is definatly one of the most underrated drummers ever. technically he isnt brilliant if u have ever seen any of his solos they are pretty rubbish but the grove he has in the GNR songs is just brilliant i cant describe why it just really suits the songs!!

Different strokes I guess. I always thought Velvet Revolver was bland in general but playing this song sounded like the UYI tour but without Axl. I dont like Matts playing on this song compared to Steven, its just not on the same level. As for Axls band, err, no. Im talking about the drums, the groove, the little interesting rhythm nuances.
