When I lived in Umbria, Italy every spring the whole countryside was scoured by eager wild asparagus pickers. At 5 euro a bunch they were a good source of income. They were awsome in sauces and omletts! They had a natural nutty flavour and a more intense mineral taste. I am so glad you took the time to share Jamie with us poor souls,kumquatsta! Thank you.
