Is there a way to use a midi keyboard? I love this interface and price, but I want to be able to use my midi keyboard...the interface is even better than mixcraft, in a few years I could see it beating out programs like mixcraft and so forth

ive just dowloaded trakAx, but i cant save my mixes in mp3, i can only chose from wav, ogg and wma. how can i save them in mp3. Or do ive an old version?

Hi - currently you can only save your mixes as WMV / WMA / AVI etc. A new version of trakAxPC will be released shortly and allows export of mixes to MP3, MP4, AAC etc. Please see our website trakax 'dot' com for more information on the new release.

You must click on the unlock tempo button in

the track name so that the audio track is unlocked from the global bpm. Once unlocked right click in the segement to bring up the segment properties and adjust the tempo to your liking. We have full video tutorials available from our site at trakax(dot)com

When i'm starting a new mix, and i'm searching through my mp4 format videos in the section, why are they not there?

At the moment, trakAxPC does not support mp4 files as it is a licenced file format. In order to offer trakAxPC for free we only support file formats and codecs that are free to use.

The formats you can mix in are

For Audio, the files you can mix are: WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA

For Video, the files you can mix are: AVI, MPEG 1 and 2, WMV, ASF

For Photographs, the files you can mix are: BMP, JPG. JPEG, JPE, JFIF, GIF, TIF.

Exports to WMV, WMA,WAV, AVI.

You can 'render' your finished track to WMA/WAV/AVI/WMV etc. using the Render Function which is located in the top right-hand corner of the mixing screen.

How well does this program work when one of the tracks being used changes B.P.M. abruptly half way through the song because of sloppy splice-editing, (I.E. Afrika Bambaataa & Soulsonic Force - Planet Rock: at the main breakdown of the song)? Will tracks like that need to remastered with a constant BPM first?

Other programs with BPM sensing present the wrong BPM's when trying to use some Electro, Breakbeat tracks (and other non 4x4 tracks), Is this program any better, or just the same thing?

Hi

TrakAxPC analyzes the first few downbeats of the track and calculates the BPM of the track from this analysis, it does not calculate different changes in tempo of the track unfortunately. You can change the tempo of the track though by right clicking on the track and selecting segment properties. Change the tempo and then click on the unlock tempo button in the track name. This is covered in a video called understanding BPMs in trakAx on youtube. I hope this helps.

How do you upload the songs you've made to youtube?

YouTube only allows videos to be uploaded to it so if you have made a song you will need to include video or photographs. Then click on the render button or right click in the mixing screen and select "render as". Save the mix as a WMV file and then upload it to youtube.

i download it and it say..file cannot be found..and this is after installing it..

Weve experienced a small problem when downloading the app using IE and saving to a new folder.

What is happening is that the file is not downloading fully when saved to a new folder created. It seems to be a partial download instead of a full 14mb download causing a Win32 error.

In the meantime, you can simply save it your desktop/existing folder on your hard drive and you will not experience this problem. Otherwise, you can use Firefox/Safari etc. and you should have no issues.

How would i take the words from one song and put it to the beat of another song?

You will have to download an accapella of the track (ie a track with just the lyrics)and then mix it with an instrumental of the track with the beat in it. Check out the BPM video to adjust the bpms of both tracks so they are beatmatched.

I downloaded it, but I cant import my music i click on it (mp3 file) and holt my mouse and drag it into the mix box, and nothing happens :(

With some MP3 files we have found direct x has an issue reading them. We have encountered this before and are in process of fixing this for next release. It should only happen on a very few mp3 though and most should work fine.

If you feel that this not the issue, please send a sample file of both a wav and an mp3 and we will have the development team look into it further.

Hi You can change the rate of each individual track by right clicking on the track and changing the tempo in the segment properties. Then just click on the unlock button in the track name. I have put a TrakAx BPm video on youtube under the title Understanding BPMs.Check it out. Cheers CB
