  • All engine oils sold in the marketplace have additive packages in them. Those additive packages are depleted within the first 1000 miles of use. Using an additive would not alter the function of any additives already in the oil. Saying some additives are not compatible with certain materials doesn't tell the consumer anything about a specific product, whether this one or another one. That would be similar logic to saying ethanol destroys seals, so all hydrocarbons destroy seals.

  • Most of the engine oil already have the additives. Mainly anti oxidant, anti wear, anti foam, friction reducer and corrosion inhibitor. So to use such additive will actually modify some of th additive function in the oil and the specification claimt already void. Some additive also is not compatible with latest material for engine component such as rubber synthetic. So it is not recommended to buy any additive for your engine oil. Thats my opinion.
