Carl is a great player, song writer, and very down to earth. Super versatile at many styles, with a voice all his own. I've seen two of his shows, and his Rumor Mill DVD/CD set is a must have for Verheyen fans.
not his best, no. but regardless, that is still some very sick guitar playing on his part. i still enjoyed this thoroughly, although he has done better stuff
Bernie Dresel is a monster and of course has played quite a bit in the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Cliff "The slab" Hugo on bass...many mmons since I saw him playing here in LA on the club circuit.

He really knows what to play but his technique sounds clumsy and he has almost no vibrato .. without the trem arm .. very knowledgeable but needs to practise .. LOL
Guzmancho - i have to agree with you. Carl is THE most underrated guitarist of all time. I used to think Brian Setzer got a bum rap, but at least he's a celebrated guitarist. Also, Bernie is an underrated drummer. BD is soooo attentive to the detail of his playing, it is real apparant.
I have a great privilage, every year carl and his band come and play at a small school in my town in northern ireland, it's a fantastically intimate gig!
I always underestimate the Strat for how it sounds when playing an overdriven amp. Amazing tones here, just par for the course for Mr. Verheyen I guess. Bastard! ;)
i was there @ this concert...carl is flippin amazing..just amazing the speed the touch the feel the tone...hez definately one of the greatest i have ever heard or seen!
Awesome. I saw this band in Crewe (England) a few years ago, in front of an audience of around 15 (yes, fifteen). They still gave it their all. Have bought all of their CDs ever since, and am never disappointed. If you're a fan of this type of music, hunt out "Six" - you'll be blown away!
I was very impressed with this vid and immediately went to iTunes and bought the song. I haven't heard much of Carl Verheyen's playing since watching his "Intervallic Rock" video years ago. I'll definitely have to check out more.
This concert was produced and released on AIX Records along with lots of other cool stuff on a project called Rumor Mill. The Provogue Records version is stereo only and lacks all of the other acoustic and instructional material.
Carl is the MAN. I saw him last week in San Diego; KILLER. He's also a nice dude. He talked with my wife and me for about 20 mins after the show.

This is the same Carl Verheyen that won a bronze medal on the 2006 Olympic 10.000 m. speed skating right? ;-)

I love Carl Verheyen, but have to agree - this is not Carl at his best. He doesn't seem to be "in the zone" here. He is still the man.

This is a perfect reason why white people should stay away from the blues.

I believe he plays the Song a lot faster than on the record. Really hard to play the three guitars at once... :P

This is amazing but it's not carl at his best. He's making a few mistakes. Check out his other vids and you'll really BE WOWED!

Surely geniuses are allowed a few mistakes too?

Of course they are. All I'm saying is that this must have been an off day or something for Carl :)
