  • Carl is the MAN. I saw him last week in San Diego; KILLER. He's also a nice dude. He talked with my wife and me for about 20 mins after the show.

  • wow.wow.wow

  • Dang, this is pretty cool..how did I miss this guy?

  • Someone give him a tuner!!!

  • wahh this nuts the drummer to

  • Smoking!

  • hes so awesome. haha his clean channel is louder than his drive

  • @fenderbender28 It's actually two different amps. He switches them via a Lehle.

  • Killer....Carl is very underrated...great band too!

  • 5 stars

CARL VERHEYEN is a GENIUS MUSICIANS

  • Wow Bernie gave it 110% on that drum solo. scary good.

  • I really admire Carl's commitment to the guitar, tone, and the development of his own music.

  • Carl is a great player, song writer, and very down to earth. Super versatile at many styles, with a voice all his own. I've seen two of his shows, and his Rumor Mill DVD/CD set is a must have for Verheyen fans.

  • This is the same Carl Verheyen that won a bronze medal on the 2006 Olympic 10.000 m. speed skating right? ;-)

  • Bernie Dressell (drummer) kills on this tune!

  • killer strat tone!

  • Brian setzer's drummer

  • show de bola!

  • I love Carl Verheyen, but have to agree - this is not Carl at his best. He doesn't seem to be "in the zone" here. He is still the man.

  • not his best, no. but regardless, that is still some very sick guitar playing on his part. i still enjoyed this thoroughly, although he has done better stuff

  • he's got some awesome scales!

  • i know this guy rocks, doesn't he?

  • for sure!

  • I believe he plays the Song a lot faster than on the record. Really hard to play the three guitars at once... :P

  • everybody is allowed mistakes

  • This is amazing but it's not carl at his best. He's making a few mistakes. Check out his other vids and you'll really BE WOWED!

  • Surely geniuses are allowed a few mistakes too?

  • Of course they are. All I'm saying is that this must have been an off day or something for Carl :)

  • Bernie Dresel is a monster and of course has played quite a bit in the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Cliff "The slab" Hugo on bass...many mmons since I saw him playing here in LA on the club circuit.

  • Guzmancho - i have to agree with you. Carl is THE most underrated guitarist of all time. I used to think Brian Setzer got a bum rap, but at least he's a celebrated guitarist. Also, Bernie is an underrated drummer. BD is soooo attentive to the detail of his playing, it is real apparant.

    Gotta love that groove

    Mikey xx

  • BRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is so enjoyable

  • I have a great privilage, every year carl and his band come and play at a small school in my town in northern ireland, it's a fantastically intimate gig!

I met him too, he's a nice guy!

  • LUCKY BASTARD!!! I'm happy to hear he's a nice guy. Eric Johnson is also really cool, super humble and gracious to all his fans.

  • I saw Carl with Chad Wackerman and Doug Lunn in Los Angeles this past weekend... AMAZING!

  • I always underestimate the Strat for how it sounds when playing an overdriven amp. Amazing tones here, just par for the course for Mr. Verheyen I guess. Bastard! ;)

  • i was there too that was my wife drunk at the bar and i was sat near the stage alone come on there was at least 20 there

  • i was there @ this concert...carl is flippin amazing..just amazing the speed the touch the feel the tone...hez definately one of the greatest i have ever heard or seen!

  • Fantastic...Thank you very much!!!

  • i love carl

  • Awesome. I saw this band in Crewe (England) a few years ago, in front of an audience of around 15 (yes, fifteen). They still gave it their all. Have bought all of their CDs ever since, and am never disappointed. If you're a fan of this type of music, hunt out "Six" - you'll be blown away!

  • new to me too. great stuff. gonna go search i tunes.

  • I was very impressed with this vid and immediately went to iTunes and bought the song. I haven't heard much of Carl Verheyen's playing since watching his "Intervallic Rock" video years ago. I'll definitely have to check out more.

  • Carl rules.

  • Bernie Dresel is a great drummer, love him with the brian setzer orchestra

  • This concert was produced and released on AIX Records along with lots of other cool stuff on a project called Rumor Mill. The Provogue Records version is stereo only and lacks all of the other acoustic and instructional material.

  • Just discovered him recently. Love it.

    Eric Johnson meets Brett Garsed.

  • just discovered him also!!!!

    Amazing and unique
