  • how long ago did you bench 345lbs ?

  • In the book Outliers the introduction goes into a community transplanted from Italy into a town in Pennsylvania. Italian food can be some of the richest eatting on earth but in the community heart disease was 0% but it was found that it was the community that had the greatest effect on the heart and not the food. Social isolation might but the only thing that could be wrong with Paleo but that might be a big thing you know.

  • He reminds me of sheldon from the big bang theory :P

  • Hello there! Have you tried - fast abs magic (google it)? Ive heard some great things about it and my auntie got great 6 pack abs and lost a ton of belly fat with it.

  • I have been ordering my grass fed beef from this new company just north of you in Chico and was wondering if you have tried thier product yet. Its a local Northern California rancher and I order their product to my door step monthly. The company is TX Bar Organics. Let me know if you have tried their grass fed beef yet and what you think of it. Thanks Robb!

  • @paleomoma Grass-fed beef uses up to 17x the amount of land as factory-farmed beef. Neither options are a viable solution for our health, the animals, or the environment we live in.

  • @TardsOfParadise Nothing is viable for 7 billion people. The population has to go down. Go condoms!

Raise grass-fed beef, because some lands are only viable for growing grass. If you grow crops there, there will be soil erosion issues.

  • @90Rush But if everyone was to eat their 'grass-fed beef', we would only really have enough for each person to have it maybe once a year or so. So why even bother eating it at all? Leave the damn animals alone, that's what I say.

  • Vegans are all homo, pay no attention to their postings. Paleo diet is the way to go.

  • @bobzero30 Really appreciate this feedback. It's great to see humans hating each other. It really explains why so many people are starving to death.

  • hes right, i do ketogenic diet, and its hard sometimes when friends want to go eat, i have to have a nice juicy bloody steak, while my fat friends eat a boring salad with chicken.

  • this guy is full of it, animal products cause so many degenerative conditions

  • uhmmm,,,no, we dont need meat.

  • @lamachosalway and...that has anything to do with cutting back on wheat and processed food?

  • maybe the social isolation would be a good thing, if this diet is good for you then subsequently all else follows, instead of being in useless waste of time social situations, maybe it effects your social life because noone around you is paleo

  • I wouldnt trust this guy.

  • @SeasonViolet why not?

  • @SeasonViolet I never trust anyone who is trying to sell me something!

  • If we run on glucose and glycogen stores and simple sugars provide them, then where does meat fit in? Meat has to be converted to glucose. Let me ask you, when a person is in the hospital getting IV fluids, do they shove a steak up their veins or do they put glucose? It is always going to be healthier to eat fruits and veggies. We live in 2012 we now have refrigeration and luckily do not live in caves anymore and grow hair down to our knees. Cavemen were in the dark and unfortunate.

  • @vicky2c 70% of atp is derived from fat and 30% from carbs so our main energy source is fat not glucose.

  • The paleo diet is simply eating how evolution has designed us to eat. Meat, fruit, vegetables... what could be healthier? I eat paleo and have never felt or looked better. If it is natural I am happy to eat it... how could that ever be bad?

  • @Shiplodicus Look into being a fruitarian and then you will be shouting it out from the rooftops how good you feel. It is not healthy to eat meat especially in the United States. You are eating dead flesh and if you were true carnivors you chase squirrels. No it is not natural to eat meat. Just bec you get it looking nice with pink dye in the market does not make it natural. Go out and chase it all day and then cut it up and eat it raw. That would be natural! It is so not natural to eat meat.

  • @vicky2c I have researched it and I would not be healthy. I do not live in the US and my meat is actually killed by the person I buy it from. It is very natural. There is no science behind fruit only.

  • LOL I clicked on this expecting to hear a lot of garbage...I LOVE the answer and you are so right....one of my best friends banned me on FB because I was talking about my craziness to a mutual friend and apparently because I am not a Dr. it does not matter of this WORKS for him and his diabetes...She wants him to eat what the Dr. tells him too even if it is killing him. And BTW her too she is also diabetic..Sigh.

  • Negative being that food is much more boring? I don't think I can forgo grains completely but I definitely know it would be best for me to cut back on sugary foods. Next time I go shopping I'll change my choices.

  • Ha ha, he can't think of any health downsides to this??? Is he kidding? He is very misinformed. Read the China study or watch Forks over Knives. You will all find your answers from real research and doctors. I mean how is this diet even reaching people..It is also barbaric. Karma plays a big role too doesn't it? Ugh, this frustrates me to no end. Selfish people eat animals. Nuff said!

  • @vicky2c Try reading "The Vegetarian Myth" and then just see if you feel at all any differently about that. Just food for open thoughts...

  • @koyotelovely I am not a vegetarian..I am a fruitarian...I get all of my nutrition needs met by what nature has made easily available.I don't have to run and try to get my food. If we were naturally supposed to eat meat we would be chasing squirrels all day like my dog. Also, if you go paleo, you have risk of parasites. Plus, there is that Karma thing again to bite you in the ass. You would have to work hard all day to chase the animal, cut it open, then skin it..etc.fruit you just pick and eat.

  • @vicky2c Plus, I think Nature got it right and Man got it all wrong. Disease happens when we don't follow the laws of nature. Too simple to understand makes so much sense. We run on carbs and glucose. The body is so taxed converting flesh and muscle into glycogen. Do more research my friends. You are misguided. It is sad to see. Ask a guy who is sitting in the hospital post heart surgery if he was eating a diet of fruits and veggies. I am sure his answer would be NO! Meat is the killer, sorry!

  • @vicky2c Wow vicky that is sooo sad :( I have had exactly the reverse happen. I feel wonderful now. Even god rid of my toxic boyfriend because I no longer needed his help so why put up with his shit...

May I ask were you eating enough fat? I try for 100 grams a day and that is a LOT.

My body, my health and my energy are all so much better I can not imagine why it did not help you too unless somehow you are missing an enzyme or something.... You may want to see....continued....

  • @vicky2c Minding my Mitochondria. It is one of the TED talks and has a less meat orientated approach and is very interesting. The speaker actually managed to recover from MS using her research to find out what to eat to feed her mitochondria. Just copy and paste this in the search KLjgBLwH3Wc. Best of luck and I hope you feel better.

  • @vicky2c we either burn sugar or fat as fuel...that is a scientific fact...one will make us age faster and get fatter (not to mention a host of diseases and illnesses that are actually very preventable)...the other will have our bodies functioning the way they were intended. Did you know that with the proper nutrients that our bodies want (not our minds/egos), the cell is capable of never decaying?

  • @vicky2c Again, I say, just try reading that book...if you're at all open to just the whole big picture. it applies to anyone who eats...not just vegetarians, fruitarians, vegans, meatarians... ;p...jus sayin...be informed as to the whole picture from multiple sides - if not all - when possible. then you can make more informed decisions for yourself. whatever works and feels best for you..

  • @vicky2c Explain how you'd get parasites from Paleo Diet??

  • @vicky2c We are naturally supposed to eat meat, it is the evolutionary split from other primates. You mention karma... that is a moral base for a diet, no a scientific one. You can't moralise a diet to be healthy. As a natural paleo dieter I eat loads of fruit and veggies, they are lovely, however meat has been proven to be a dietary requirement.

  • @Shiplodicus Ridiculous! We have the exact same digestive system and nutritional needs of other primates. A few hundred thousand years does not produce an evolutionary change. We eat meat because we want to, not because we have to. Millions of vegetarians (like myself), most of whom I suspect are much healthier than you, can attest to that.

  • @agingstoner don't make silly assumptions on your health versus mine. Humans split around 5 million years ago, more than enough time to see genetic variation through polymorphisms.

  • @Shiplodicus More like a million years, but, whatever that "genetic variation" is, it cannot be seen with the normal eyes. Like I said, you eat meat because you want to, not because you have to, or because it's healthy. You, I, and the entire remainder of the human race could get along quite well without meat.

  • @agingstoner no it was 5 and can be seen in gut and brain size etc. Please don't make comments on a subject you do not understand. Meat is the component that split the human evolutionary direction.

  • @vicky2c Frustrated that people are making the right choice to exclude coke, gluten, and vegetable oil out of their diet?

    That's so weird.

  • Financial cost, too! Though there are a lot of ways to save money doing paleo (buy in bulk, don't fear fats, garden), it is more expensive than eating the Standard American Diet.

  • This man is a flabby bastard

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 The Paleo diet is not one single way of eating, it's an approach to eating that is more about eliminating the bad stuff (grains, legumes. dairy) and focusing on the good stuff (vegetables, fruits, animal proteins, good fats) than it is about any specific macronutrient ratio. A Paleo diet *can* be (and often is) relatively low-carb, but it doesn't have to be. I eat a moderate amount of carbs myself. It is a balanced diet with room for individual needs and preferences,

  • How about cancer, obesity and heart disease? Your GOD Mr. Atkins was obese and suffered a heart attack. Hahahahaha. Such bullcrap. Hey eat all the greasy blood-stained meat, bacon, eggs and cheese you want? What could possibly go wrong. This guy is taking you for a ride and dumb fucks like it.

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 Atkins diet is not paleo..........try again and search in goolge about how many diseases have for example the people of Laponia (diet rich in satured fats) or Africa and South America tribes .Cancer is caused by a deficience of B12 vitamin,do you really think that eat like our ancestors is unhealthy?.....so keep eating processed grains, milk and sugar and enjoy your ostheoporosis and future diseases

  • @Spanishornet I don't eat milk, refined sugar or refined sugar. Unlike you though I don't consume as much greasy blood-stained meat, bacon and cheese that you do.

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 you actually drink milk. But sorry i was nit picking. The diet doesnt say get a large piece of lard add blood and enjoy. it keeps everything in balance.

  • @enoughraptor6 Thank you for correcting me. I don't drink milk. The diet is anything but balanced it is anti-carb for crying out loud. You astonish me. This diet is the laughing stock of respected nutritional science. FACT. You are being taken for a ride by charlatans.

  • @Spanishornet Cancer is not caused by a B12 deficiency. Cancer is caused by toxicity and/or virus. Since our planet is polluted as fuck and animals eat those toxins(dioxins, mercury, pesticides, etc..).. those that eat huge amounts of meat with low intakes of antioxidants are at risk of developing Cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

  • @LuckynumberSlevin11 You are so misinformed my friend.Do you even know what the Paleo diet is?From your comments, you have only presented a skewed version of what Paleo is about. "anti-Carb?"Since when was paleo ever anti carb?Vegetables have plenty of carbss in them. "Your God Mr. Atkins?"Anyone who knows anything about paleo specifically references its difference to Atkins."The laughing stock of nutritional science?"You mean those who made the food pyramid with starch and grains at the base?

  • @NICKMAN112253 Vegetables are not edible in their raw state since we don't have bacteria to break down cellulose. Vegetables are just roots and branches that don't exist other then we humans manipulating non-poisonous branches/roots into names. Paleo is a diet that uses the Gluconeogenesis metabolism, which is basically a survival mechanism that we humans have used to "SURVIVE" and make more babies. Meat is fine to eat however I'm never gonna go crazy eating it daily. 1-2x a week.

  • @NICKMAN112253 Lol, sure veggies have carbs, but I have to lol when you say that they have plenty of carbs in them. Sure they have carbs, but you have to eat like a cow all day to get "plenty of carbs".

  • @highsugarfruit That's why we can eat a lot of veggies and get all those good stuff, like anti-oxidant, micronutrients and etc.

  • From what I saw, sometimes you can cheat with whatever you want to eat as long as you eat paleo 80% of the time. It really doesn't seem like it's that hard to follow to me. Anybody who says anything really negative about the paleo lifestyle is probably just a doctor worried about losing patients/business.

  • "alienation from friends" > "feeling like a goofball"> Wow is that your official position? Perhaps you should think about another profession.

  • Was Robb Wolf the model for that pinkish skinny guy dancing in the skirt waving the stick? ROFL

    CROK On!

  • Damn fucking straight!

  • what a smartass

  • haha, i got tricked

  • @Consistency87 No. I have no problems with body odor.

  • Its sooo worth feeling like a goof ball!

  • Social - deal with it - it is your health

  • what about athletic performance on this diet? Low carbs surely has a negative effect? Dont even try with the athletics on ketosis BS. Dont animal products contribute to heart disese, diabetes & other chronic diseases? piss weak vid IMO

  • @adsa973 Try the 'earn your carbs' approach. Eat starchy food only after working out.

  • Comment removed

  • @90Rush

'Earn your carbs'? You mean like these guys?

    /watch?v=LKf1eTzmK14

  • @adsa973 There are endurance athletes and MMA fighters that are doing fine on Paleo. Sure, they're not the best of the best, but the point of the diet is for health, not for performance. Also, if you're an athlete, you can definitely tweak by adding more carbs. I do that because MY metabolism can handle carbs. Not everybody can say the same.

Also, animal products do not, by themselves, cause all that bad crap. Read up more. YOUR argument, IMO, is piss weak.

  • Here are my negative effects of this diet after six months: While I lost weight and looked great, I dealt with the following: constipation, mood swings, horrible PMS, hemorrhoids, body odor, and bad breath. I have NONE of those things now that I cut out meat. My skin is clear and my hair is shiny. With all due respect, this will come and go just like the other fads. And really, is there such a thing as protein deficiency? And, after my mother cut out animal fat, her diabetes reversed.

  • Comment removed

  • @jaylu0717 funny, going paleo and dropping processed foods and grains cured me of IBS (alternating constipation/diarrhea/stomach cramps etc.), spots (in my mid 30's!), likewise for my 65 yo dad. None of these issues were cured by being vegetarian for me.

Also, paleo is not all about the meat, I eat more veg and greens than most vegetarians I've ever known.

I guess the best way is to give them both a go for a couple of months and see which makes the most difference to you.

  • @jaylu0717 People reverse diabetes and IBS and depression and soften autoimmune disorder symptoms using the Paleo lifestyle as well. As far as I know, everyone's different. I know really unhealthy vegans as well as unhealthy meat eaters. How can you judge so readily?

  • Robb rules! ^^

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world, Robb! You are truly an inspiration... Thanks to you, I have made an impact in many of my clients lives; they are healthier, leaner and happier. I also have never felt better & stronger; nor have I ever looked better!

  • HAHAHA ANTI inflamatory paleo diet? meats are acidic dude get a grip !!

  • @monellasweeting Think about it... You have to eat both acidic and basic foods to have a neutral ph in your body. If you ate only foods that have an alkaline effect then your body would be fighting to keep itself ph neutral instead of naturally falling into ph neutrality.

  • @ZachMorris85 I know thats true what you say and also correct . bat bompared to other food meat is on of the most acidic foods there is and you dont have to eat meat to have a neutral ph level i think you know that .

  • @monellasweeting perhaps you don't, but from your first comment you were implying that because meat is acidic, your body would be fighting to keep itself in a neutral state while eating meat. The paleo diet is also full of fruits and veggies so ph maintenence is a nonissue. On that note, I eat probably more meat than anyone you know (certainly more than anyone I know), and I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my life and have the biomarkers to prove it.

  • @monellasweeting Hate to break it to you, but there's no such thing as acid/alkaline foods. That whole paradigm is flawed because it completely discounts what actually happens in digestive processes. If meat has any inflammatory action, it'd be the grain-fed, factory farmed shit, in which omega 3:6 ratios are totally warped. NOT the wild/pasture raised meats that Wolf advocates.

  • @monellasweeting The core of paleo diet is the elimination of grains, which is acidic. Plus it opens room for a lot more vegetables, which is basic. So even in the acid base sense, it's a lot better than SAD.

  • It is true that social is the number one negative. I have seen it in my own life. My mother in law is convinced that fat will make you fat. And, has already tried to give me fat free, processed food. Great videos! I will check out more.

  • haha.kind of true.but i got such an awesome six pack (of abs, not beer) from eating paleo and working out that i attracted an amazing woman who now eats paleo with me.two hot nerds (well at least she thinks i'm hot) hanging out together is not bad at all.how many friends does a person need anyway?
