I thought the same thing when I first heard the song a while ago, but I would say it is more jus Malmsteen influenced, phrygian sounding stuff, and I think I hear a little Harmonic minor here and there. And he also plays some cool chromatics in there. I think you could make some cool guitar exercises out of the solo also.

I LOVE this song, but this video, while having a cool background, isn't as good as i think it should be. why do they seem to zoom away from the instrument with the most interesting part at any given time? (like when the guitarist is soloing, they seem to just ignore it...) it doesn't make sense to me...

Jorg played session drummer on countless albums and helped create the power metal drum style. Jens... I dare you to find a better metal key player! Matias is insanely talented! I could listen to his solos all day! Lauri is my current favorite bassist. I love how he doubles the guitar leads in this song and other tracks live. As for TK... I'm just a fanboy that dude can sing.

@angelalexiskun C'mon. Tolkki was a great composer but I don't miss him one bit. Polaris is the best album since Destiny and might even be better than Destiny. Matias completely outplays Tolkki and his solos are way more creative. His use of chromatic scales are incredible.

To each their own but Stratovarius is stronger than ever.
