That doesnt leave much for the actors to work on. Sana Lathan's character was just not belivable enough. this needed a better script.

Honestly, I was about to write off this movie as a typical Tyler perry movie, brought down by black stereotypes and an excess of drama but actually it was very good. Granted, there are some draw backs of course, its not a masterpiece but I found it very enjoyable. Acting was great on the parts of Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard!

You know I saw Tyler Perry's Bio on TV and it stated that his movies are geared for Black people. I feel his movies can be for all people no matter what ones ethnicity is. I am an American of Asian heritage and let me tell you . . . MADEA is my NANA. I was born in the '40s and my neighborhood looked like the United Nations. We never had any race problems 'cause we were all poor and religious. We treated every neighbor as an equal. I miss those good ole days.
@amarettaludia the reason his movies and shows are geared towards black people are partly because we are always seen in a negetive light as gangsters and druggies and living in the so called hood and there arent many roles out there for black people. or you dont see to many black people out there in the industry in roles like playing the doctors and the lawyers. but thats part of what i got from what he said about why his work is geared towards blacks

it's been running on the Cable Network all this week, I know because I rented it on Cable movie channel DEMAND and now it's running for FREE either on the channel that gives you HOUSE OF PAYNE or STZ (I'm not in front of my TV to tell you what channel it is) and I was pretty pissed because I PAID FOR IT. I have all of Madea's movies except MADEA GOES TO JAIL. Also, I believe this is wht's wrong with the younger generation of today; they have no respect for what their parents went thru.
I just taped MADEA'S FAMILY REUNION last night and if you watch the scene with Cicely Tyson chastizing the younger generation for having no love for each other and the fact that the're more concerned about the "latest dances (bumping and booty shaking) and the skippy attire (she says the young girls wearing skimpy clothes showing their thighs) and getting into fights. She told them to stop and turn around and show some love for each other that they all are better than that and to PRAISE GOD.
omg i have seen this movie like 3 times on tv but i always miss the beginning so i never knew the title but now i know and i'm so happy!!!!
