  • Her voice could carry me away, just so angelic and soulful, and with such beauty to mach:)

  • Wow Ingrid really jammed this one out what a great soulfully Beautiful job Babes!!!

  • well...what a creep! xD

  • You're voice is really great and all, but the moans at 2:00 made me laugh really hard

  • @How2haveDaSmile make it stop!! LOL

  • Ingrid sings like a girl with a deep sexual drive and is trying to let it off it'd leash. She is secretly hungry and lusty. if there's any sadness, its because she feels unfulfilled. A very sexy lady!!!

  • I at first thought that her voice was to perfect for this song... I am so glad that I had stuck around... her voice captures it's essence perfectly!!! Repeat, again;)

  • 42 people don't know music..love you ingrid(:

  • @iamanloler It's 41, but hey we forgive you for your inaccuracies. 8v)

  • This is just amazing. :3 Completely renewed the song for me

  • I love her even moooore now <3 :)

  • oh my goodness someone hold me

  • The Radiohead "classic"? Wow, that makes me feel old. :-D

  • Personally, I feel that Ingrid Michaelson has just too damn happy of a sound for this song. She sounds nice and all, but she doesn't sound raw and anguished enough. In addition, using the soft, dainty stringed instrument (I'm assuming uke?) just does NOT fit the feel of the song (the instrument is too bright and gentle.) That all being said, she has vocal, as well as instrumental talent.

  • @hippieflute Either a cover moves you or not. Every song (or version of a song) affects every person differently; there's no harm in that. As for me, I think she evokes the feeling of the song perfectly, just in a different way than Radiohead does.

  • @hippieflute the thing about Ingrid though, her voice may sound all happy and nice but i think it's one of the saddest things I've ever heard. It's that sort of "I'm dying inside but let me just make you think I'm the happiest girl in the world" kind of sound and that's sadder than any visible anguish.

That being said, I like the original better.

  • @reispieces91 that is so true. you've got it exactly.

  • YESSSSSSS

  • I already love Radiohead...this just made me tear up...

  • This breaks my heart.. She is incredible.

  • WOW! JUST WOW!

  • What a great cover!

  • this makde me smile, both covers are simply beautiful.

  • I love this song!

Watch my original music viedo for it? It's on my channel!

    :D

  • I didn't think it was possible for me to love this song any more than I already did, but then I heard her cover. Absolutely amazing.

  • The first time I heard this song, I instantly had goosebumps all over....what a treasure she is....so natural.. flawless....and inspirational...what a true blessing.....

  • this song is my story. i love ingrid.

  • If I was a chick, I would totally go bicurious just to date her. ... waaaiiiit.

  • @fudaldeath why not just be a normal male...?

  • @bugshirt4 :) that's the point I was making ;)

  • @fudaldeath ah so you're just making your creepy fantasy of being a lesbian be public... gotcha

  • @bugshirt4 xD its a hyperbole but. your funny regardless :P

  • @fudaldeath Creep.

  • @MidgetMaufia I wish<3

  • @fudaldeath are you saying ingrid likes to munch carpets, im confused haha

  • I saw her perform this live in Chicago last year when she was touring with Keane. It was unbelievable. She sounds this flawless live, I swear. She is a rare treasure to the music world.

  • @musicAL722 yea man i saw them on that same tour in maryland. incredible

  • @musicAL722 I feel the same way about Rachael Yamagata. She performs immaculately live, even with a terrible cold. If you have not had the pleasure of finding her music, go find it now. Cheers :)

  • So am I the only one who would like to see a compilation of the greatest creep covers?

I know York and Radiohead hate this song ad infinitum but at some point they should wait a minute, step back and see how this single song has resonated with, what is now, generations of people. I wouldn't be surprised if this song were being remade and recovered fifty years from now.

It's because we're all creeps at heart.

  • I love this song so much. <3

  • A few weeks ago I went on a date with a man that saw me through rose colored glasses. That night at his place he decided to take out his uke to sing to me. It was 4am & I was ready to go home after listening to his many covers of songs I didnt know. Then he played this; something I knew & loved. I saw his soul that night & I will never forget him or the voice that came out of the most unsuspecting body. This song always makes me smile because of him where ever he is. I met an angel that night.

  • @paigenacage

The guy actually sang Creep to you on a ukelele on your first date?!

Seriously, if you see that man again, tell him that I said he is f*cking awesome!

  • @MarkWF5485 Haha yes he did & I sure will if I see him. He sang his heart out too...seconds after saying he was very self conscious about his voice. It was amazing.

  • I love it this girl

  • NARLEY - NARLEY - NARLEY N.T.S. EITHER . ALSO VERY,VERY CREEPY !

  • i love this nearly as much as i love the original, it's almost like it's sad in a different way

  • i love ingrid michaelson and radiohead but i think that the ukelele or whatever instrument was being played does not help to convey the message of the song. Besides that its really great.

  • That was Amazing!!! Just beautiful!!! I'm a huge Radiohead fan too so I didn't think anyone could do it as well. She put her foot in it!!!

  • While this woman has an amazing voice, I think the original was better. The instrument being played is not appropriate for what the song is conveying to me.

  • @JiggityJango

Perhaps, but then again because of the different instrumentation it gives a different tone and slant on the song; namely that of an emotional delicacy that wasn't present in the original. You can compare this with Scala's version, which, with its grand chorus, gives the impression that all the creeps of the world are singing along to the song and gives it an almost epic feel.

Yes, this isn't my favorite version but I do appreciate the song's innumerable imitations and homages.

  • Her voice reminds me of Tori Amos quite a bit in this song. I like it. And I also like her cover of Creep, which I think she killed! And for the record, hipsters, I have seen Radiohead live, thank you. That show made sex with my ears for hours.

  • This version sounds much more bitter than radioheads lovely melancholy rendition and for that reason it reflects my heart in an ardently dismal fashion.

  • I love her version of this song. I think it connected with me a lot more than the original. Not that I don't like the original or anything. I feel they both brought their own thing to the song and I love them both.

  • i love this song....if you've also never heard the scala & kolacny brothers' choir cover of this, it is breathtaking as well.

  • don't like it..this song isn't meant like this

  • @Vertigo2903 Really? Did you write it? Are you close with the writers? How do you know how it was meant?

  • holy crap, those notes

  • she makes it sounds effortless to sound angelic.

  • really like the scala version as well.

  • I like Amanda Palmer's cover of this better but this is still pretty awesome! A song that deserves many covers from talented people!

  • I think every aspect of this is simply beautiful.

  • how do you unlike? i neither like nor dislike!

  • i love Ingrid Michealson, i love Radiohead. but i dislike this. especially the beginning and the end of this song. sorry.

  • What makes an artist is the ability to evoke the emotional theme of a song to the listener. What makes a great artist is the ability to do that in an original and compelling way that may make the listener feel something new in a song they've heard many times before. I think Ingrid has done that here.

  • I'm sorry, but I have to dislike this. I just don't think this cover is good and it doesn't adhere to the spirit of the original Creep by Radiohead.

  • cheerfully chilling.

  • One of the best versions.

  • I like everything, Ingrid; everything but the end..for both reasons. Any inquiries coming my way are welcome.

  • Love it!

  • I like this cover as much as I like Scala's "Social Network" cover.

  • There are so many interpretations of this song and yet it always sounds great!

  • i hate to say it, but i think she just did radiohead one better. ;)

  • I love Ingrid, I really do - but the reason this song is so profoundly amazing is because the lyrics cut like a knife every time. They are beautiful and relatable to just about anyone who has ever had an insecurity. Although the music is fun and bubbly, the jumbled confusing pace of the lyrics (which seem to be that way just for the sake of making the song 'different') completely lose me. She might as well just sing movie listings from the Sunday paper.

  • I LOVE HER

  • awww :o

  • Beautiful <3

  • I cannot get over her talent. she can literally cover any song and make it pure gold.

  • this reminds me of winter:D

  • I just died.

  • Comment removed

  • Every word is just incredible to the ear, a truly expressive talent.

  • She is special !

  • great cover:D

  • Just as Blossom Dearie might recorded it, had she not died. This is not a compliment.

  • just found this and it knocked me on my ass

  • All i can say is..... WOW...

  • Absolutely love most of it. I don't really like the opera-esque bit but they rest is lovely. <3

  • Oh! Ingrid! You are the angel! I can't stop listening your angel voice and admire your beauty!

  • @LeeVoytee *"to your angel voice... admiring your beauty." Grade 5 English is hard but you'll power through.

  • @brandonbuttery I just want you to know that your comment had me laughing my ass off.

  • @brandonbuttery Haha. It's kinda funny that you're being a grammar Nazi toward a person from Poland.

  • @Wtfkte LoL

  • @brandonbuttery. I hope you realize that Ingrid Michaelson didn't write this song. Radiohead did.

  • oh my god this is perfect

  • i don't know whether to be happy because ukulele's sound happy but the lyrics are sad... amazing cover though

  • hey, glasses. glasses are sexy :D [wears glasses ;) ]

  • stupendous <3

  • Oh, just the way her voice echoed through the room when she sang "creep."

  • At first I wasn't so sure about this, but it was actually really.. really good. :)

  • Great cover <3

  • you can hear the heart wrenching desperation in her voice... GREAT COVER!!

  • Very nice version, but it deserve a nice video

  • Lawl! thank you @pikachuzap212 i did write a song O.o it's not on you tube though. . . i suck at singing XD -.-

  • Whats sad is that i feel that i should have been the person to make this song. . . i don't like being the green apple among the red ones, but deep down i know that we all feel like the green one. . .

  • @Freggiez Wow, I really like what you just said. Sounds like it belongs in a song or a poem, so maybe you should write your own sad song like that.

  • @Freggiez the green ones taste better

  • WOOOW

  • If she just slowed down a little bit, and of course, said "fuck", this cover would have been almost as amazing as the original. :)

  • Ooof..

  • its still just as haunting but the sadness is less apparent? atleast thats my opinion.

  • I thought it was nice coming from a female perspective. Even though nothing could compare to Radiohead, this cover isn't all that bad.

  • She was connecting personally with the song, and the quirky rhythms were genuine, not forced. Ingrid Michaelson does seem like a bit of a "weirdo" (not necessarily in a negative way!) and she was communicating it well. People need to get over their prejudices of what the song SHOULD sound like. She's just a very different type of weirdo than Radiohead, so of course her rendition will sound different.

  • @Nert0703 Very nice description Nert

  • @Nert0703 'ey. You speak true words for others. Fucking cheers to you, mate. I am nor English nor Aussie. Take care person! Gabriel

  • @LesserPonds comma.

  • @Nert0703 I don't think of her as a "weirdo" (even in the good sense...She is original, eclectic, and...OMg, just a breath of fresh air! I love the original Radiohead version, and before I listened to this, I was almost irritated she covered it, UNTIL I LISTENED! She made it her own...I didn't think that was possible...But it is!! I love this woman!

  • she sounds like Sandy Cheeks o.O

  • @rabidbunnies2 ...Um no she dosnt...Ingrid sounds like an angel :D

  • sweet...

  • murdered it shes talented but she ruined the song

  • Hmm, sorry, I'm gonna have to sya Thom Yorke is the most sincere because he wrote it. And I'm a bit in love with him. But this was a cute cover :)

  • At 2:25 it sounds like a dog is crying :L

Sorry... Don´t like this version so much..

But she has a great voice and I ove her songs.

  • This is the only version of creep I can sing along to. I get all pitchy trying to sing the Radiohead version because my voice isn't as awesomely manly as Thom Yorke's. Thanks Ingrid :)

  • Hot damn, this has to do on the list of best covers, not just of Creep, over all! bravo

  • I think I actually prefer Ingrid's cover to the Radiohead version. It's much more sincere and relateble (pardon my English)

  • I love creep covers. It shows people are united in their isolation. No one is ever truly alone.

  • She´s a great musician!!! A genius!

  • was this song written about my life? i think so.

  • I'm a weirdo.

  • love that she covered this. its different from her usual

  • she's great i like her, i like this too but it's not creep, i mean other style.. i don't like some parts of this cover.. but i like Ingrid, her voice very much..

  • jolie interprétation acoustic

  • @fluxbunny1 I agree. I love love love Ingrid. But I think it's a bad song choice for anyone

  • @fluxbunny1 Then why are you listening?

  • I actually enjoy this so much more than the Radiohead one -- even though I am a Radiohead fan. This is so haunting and sad.

  • Her voice is great, but I'm not a fan of this cover.

  • She´s a sirene!!! beautiful!

  • How is it that I'm barely hearing this now? Absolutely amazing. <3

  • This is great. Her voice gives me chills.

  • :') this is beautiful. Her voice is so exceptional, I am crazily jealous of it.

  • lovely version of the song. extremely well done

  • If you don't like the song why are you looking it up? Btw it's a ukulele

  • @Emandudeguyperson Isn't that why it's called a cover ? o.o its not supposed to be exactly like the original

  • i envy her voice... so unique.

  • @pokabeb yeah, i think it makes the song a little perkier/happier than it should be

  • does any one know were you can download this :)

  • @samnone100 It's an iTunes exclusive. Search for 'Live Sessions EP'

  • love the ending part.

  • ehh.... I don't like it, sorry. not on any level near the original

  • Maybe I'm just weird...but to me, the pain in this is just haunting. What an exquisite sadness. I love it.

  • erm...maybe iti'll sound better if it ain't cover by ukelele? just sayin'...

  • woman can't do nothing!

  • @PinkFloydShirt you have to be effing crazy. she is amazing.

  • @lala51099 He's just trolling. It's ok.

  • @PinkFloydShirt

With your comment, you are trying to put a limit on the capabilities of women... But you are negating your original argument with your use of the double negative "can't do nothing." This phrase is just saying that women can do anything!

I just thought I'd let you know! ;)

  • i love Ingrid!!! this cover is amazing!

  • very nice.. <3

  • Ingrid Michaelson covering Radiohead? Perfection. <3

  • Does anyone know what chords these are :3

  • @acitybythesea E, G#, A (or A7), Am7.

    Play E on uke on 5th fret, G# on 3rd, A on 4th and Am7 of 5th too!

  • such a beautiful cover

  • @cupcakekittenxo who did the original?

  • @spazzywindmill Radiohead

  • @spazzywindmill Radiohead

  • I want to like this...but I can't. The original is MUCH more powerful.
