  • I think Robert Fripp would be an excellent stand-up comedian.

  • Who is the Richard he references in the video?

  • I love the way he speaks English (I am dutch myself). And I think his appearance is one of a professor. No macho stardom bullshit at all whereas he plays the most adventurous guitar music (sitting on a stool). I think he's great. Thanks for uploading!

  • Seems as though his West Country brogue has become more pronounced over the years. He used to sound much more 'BBC'......

  • I thought his wife's name was Toya?

  • It is, this is his sister.

  • @stoppanig Yeah, i figured so much later. Their noses are the same! lol!

  • your right! I hadn't spotted it before :-)

  • I agree with BucksStudent. I could honestly sit and listen to Robert Fripp talk for hours and not once get bored. I'm a drummer myself and became a musician because of him. I did everything that he basically listed about becoming a musician. This is an essential learning video for all aspiring musicians.

  • I believe we should add; "Serious Musicians", for the unfortunate "fly-by-nighter" could never comprehend the thoughts of such a man.........

  • @1zappa I agree this is also key in the world of sales. - Nice name by the way!

  • Robert Fripp could play an awesome character in Harry Potter

  • I love this. I could watch him talk all day. I practice two to three hours a day, though Robert once practiced for eight hours.

  • Geeeeezz!!!

    1) Finding the aim

    2) Asking for guidance

    3) Get out of bed!!

That works for everything no matter what you do!!!

  • Enjoyed watching Mr.Fripp!!!

  • WONDERFUL VIDEO. Quite informative and very much enjoyed seeing the Fripp family in this context. Thanks for sharing.

  • practise make perfect right??

  • Very good advice. I always practise for at least an hour each day (to be honest though, I think that an hour isn't quite enough if you really want to be a good player).

  • i agree

  • it's the quality of the time spent not the amount that matters. a quality hour is better than 6 half-assed.

  • you're so right, man
