@quiLLN Well Catalans have their own language a strong cultural identity and many resent the unification with Spain which happened in the 1400s mostly for political reasons. The resentment was exacerbated at the turn of the 20th century when the fascists led by Franco destroyed the Catalan Anarchist dream and forced their regional pride underground under pain of death. So I believe it's always better to keep history in mind lest we offend cultures we don't understand. I'm not a Catalan btw.

Catalonia, as country has never existed, because it began being a county, the county of Barcelona that belonged to the Kingdom of Aragon. And of course, the catalanonian independentism are 4 cats

Lots of cultural diversity was destroyed by modern nation-states, I consider a federalist approach more in line with the way human culture and identity develops, so in a way I oppose independentism, but also over-centralization.
