  • Can you Install it more time

  • can i run mac osx from a external harddisk?

  • @itouchhelper236 Yes but I don't suggest that you do.

  • please tell me that is not a bible

  • @jamesblesson Well you can see for yourself that it's a Miriam-Webster Disctonary if you pause the video. Even if it were a bible, who cares - it's just another book.

  • @beelzeb0z0 hey man don't say that, Bible is not just a book btw if your gonna reply anything offending christianity please don't reply.

  • in order for me to install the graphic card i need the same graphic card u have

  • @CreativeFXX Not really. It doesn't have to be my specific card. You'd have to research which cards work. Go to tonymacx86 and search the Wiki/graphics card database.

  • When I put in my disc, it says "Apple_HFS" instead of "Mac OSX Install DVD", I am certain this is the retail version since I bought it through the Apple Store following the link on the tonymacx86 guide. Do you have any clue as to why this is happening for me?

  • @YouAreTubetastic You sure your bios settings are correct? SATA set to AHCI?

  • 6:00 WTF???

when i boot it just give me apple logo or in verbose a bunch of error codes.

anyways, i wont get past apple logo boot screen :\ bullshit

  • unalmas

  • iboot worked on my laptop after booting it from the CD-rom.

But when I tried to boot up iboot on my netbook, it did not work.

Place the iboot CD in the external CD drive and change the boot priority settings.

A black screen appears and say: "Please remove disk and other media"

Then below says: "Please any key to restart"

Next it directly boots to Windows.

Why does iboot work for a laptop, but not on a netbook?

    Any alternatives besides Multibeast?

    Thanks

  • N iam download the Snow leopard Retail DVD From Inter net the FIle size 7.5 GB

  • @beelzeb0z0 My Specs Is . Intel Centrino Duo 1.86 GHZ . 2048MB Ram . Nvidia Geforce Go 7300 64mb , 160 GB HDD , With A DVD Rom .

  • @MrJanusDK I don't do tech support here, you'll need to post installation issues on the forum. Please make sure you are using a retail purchased copy of OS X or you'll be wasting your time.

  • many thanks for you...

  • can you talk any slower geez pick it up!!!

  • Can you do this without a Hackintosh?

  • @xXANTIxPoisonXx Do you mean install to another hard drive from a real Mac? Yes.

  • @beelzeb0z0 How about installing it to a retail computer with no mods or hacks could you still do it if your computer is compatible?

  • @xXANTIxPoisonXx It is possible as long as the retail computer has compatible components. Remember- hardware is hardware now matter how it's connected.

  • @beelzeb0z0 So I have an Emachines and I have iBoot and the only thing that I do not have is the retail Mac install disc. Can I just get the .iso and burn it to a DVD-R DL disc. If so would it work.

  • @xXANTIxPoisonXx No, you can't. You have to purchase OS X Snow Leopard.

  • @beelzeb0z0 Oh, I got the retail disc but now the computer crashes and I checked if it was compatible twice and it is what's going on can't I just do a fresh install then install the drivers later.

  • Hello, thanks for the great tutorial!!

I seem to have a problem installing mac os x...I have checked my hardware and it matches perfectly(intel core i3 , Asus p7h55)to the needs of mac os x so as to be installed on a hackintosh. However, everything goes perfectly until it gets stuck at the apple boot...It stucks at the booting logo and after a 2 min loading it stays there and it also gives me a stop like sign just above the apple logo..

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

  • @Stathubious Please visit the tonymacx86 website for support.

  • "boot0 error"

appears after i had succesfully installed the hackintosh with multibeast but i can't get to the boot menu that prompts me to chose win7 or hackintosh

  • Note :

i tried installing hackintosh with win 7 on the same HDD and on different HDDs as well.

i chose the boot option AHC1 in-order to boot from iboot

the mother board is an Asus P55D LE and i instaled it's DSDT as you did .

  • get a mac u pc fuckers

  • can you please provide the link to download the retail version of MAc OSX 10.6.3 or 10.6....? thnx in advance. and can i install retail Snow Leopard in Intel DX58SO motherboard...with core i7-930 2.8 Ghz processor.?

  • @TheOsAssistance go to Isohunt(.)com or Thepiratebay(.)org & download via torrent an original copy of Snow Leopard & burn it into a blank Dual Layer DVD (I recomment Phillips Dual Layer discs, they're the best reliable).

98.9% u can install Snow Leopard retail on any Asus mobo or Asus laptop cause Asus doen't lock them in features therefore making it more possible to instal SL. Kakewalk bookload is design for an easiest way to install SL with almost everything working on Asus & Gygabyte mobos!

  • If Kakewalk newest version of bootloader doesn't work, then try Pirate EFI-X v2 or v3 (This bootloader has a clean GUI interface) works perfect when installing retail SL on any Asus laptop or cheap Gateway or HP laptops. The pre-inatallation package from any bootloader is the tricky part. some work great some work slower or don't work properly.. Multibeast always gave me problems when restarting or shutting down... it would make my reboots & shutdowns lag for 10 seconds all the times, try all!

  • it is not working -v -x Pc1RootUID=1

  • You should use nawcoma mod CD. It automatically detects what you need now.

  • @ZekeComa I'll stick with iBoot. Thanks.

  • I was wondering where you got the custom DSDT file at? I've searched all over TonyMac's website, as well as InsanelyMac and the other forums... I can't find it anywhere. Which most likely means you made it yourself. Is there any way I can get ahold of that?

  • @xenocide100588 The tonymacx86 DSDT database has been recently updated. Take a look there.

  • @beelzeb0z0 Thanks dude. My friend has been installing on his custom box with the EVGA GTX470.. and has had a lot of problems with the video freezing, skipping... etc. He's tried the nvidia patch from tonymac and it only worked for about a day, then started KPing with nothing else changed...

  • @xenocide100588 Register at tonymacx86 and post your issues there for further troubleshooting help.

  • wireless does not work for me help ! plz reply

  • @megolakis Yes, just make sure you get a video card that is compatible and you should be good to go.

  • @beelzeb0z0 DId you make any changes in Bios? Also should i use iBoot normal,or the Legacy one?Should i add any exceptions on the Chameleon Bootloader before the setup or just hit enter?

  • @megolakis The only necessary thing is to change the SATA Storage Configuration from IDE to AHCI. You can try the exception -v PCIRootUID=1 for it recognize the root device.

  • will this work on a laptop

    intel i7 -2630QM

    8gb ram

    nvidia gtx640m

    500 gb x2 hhd

    pls respond

  • @preslav1319 I don't know. I only know how and have experience installing OS X Snow Leopard on my P7P55d. You'll have to try for yourself.

  • @beelzeb0z0 thanks for the reply. I try it first on my old PC to get some experience. But i'm still lost on the kext(or what ever it was called)part.

  • @preslav1319 Why don't you visit the tonymacx86 web site so you start getting familiar with the terminology. My best advice.

  • How didu do a dual boot of windows 7 and mac os x ?? can u please help me out? Should download windows 7 then partition my hard drive and install mac os x ? please help thanks

  • @iCoNxBoT I have/prefer two separate hard drives: 1 for Win and 1 for OS X. If you are going to use 1 hard drive partitioned into 2, then yes it still works. There are several dual-boot guides at tonymacx86 for installing a genuine retail purchase of OS X Snow Leopard.

  • would this work?

Operating System MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

CPU Intel Pentium D 915 Presler 65nm Technology

  • @nonayabeesnas You cannot use an integrated graphics solution and must use an addon video card instead. Your hard drive storage configuration in bios needs to allow AHCI mode or something similar, not IDE.

  • I have successfully install Snow Leopard using iboot, then I boot with iboot and go in to Mac to proceed to the nest step(Download the Mac OS X 10.6.6 Combo Update and Multibeast) but I can't get any network and cant access to internet. And my usb port is not working that I cant transfer those file. How? Help!
