Hey JPGamer. So, I installed this mod pack as well, as I just reinstalled morrowind a couple days ago. So far it looks and runs great, except for one thing. From what I can tell in your LPs, this doesn't happen to you, but maybe you could help me out. All the textures kind of look fuzzy from a distance, like there are lines running through everything. It just looks kind of weird. The further away something is, the more obvious this defect. Any ideas?

@lordblazer It's a mod pack, so it wasn't the video game devs. What happened is the mod retextured the Redguard faces, replacing the old and ugly ones, but whoever did that face used a lighter tone of skin than the original Morrowind developers making the character look 'whiter'. The face still isn't pale-white-guy white if you look, but it's definitely paler than it was before.

but on a serious note there is a real lack of black representation in video games especially in RPGs. I mean Halo was awesome with the SRG cuz let's face it a dude with a cigar in the middle of battle is fucking badass, but you don't really see them often. So when Bethesda had morrowind I was quite excited.. I won't use this mod pack seeing that the author preferred a lighter complexion.

@lordblazer Well it's more just the texturer screwed up. Skin colour is one of the hardest things to get right when you're drawing and a lot of the other redguard faces in this mod pack are closer to the body texture. The hi-res textures are usually based off of photographs of real people as well.

As for the lack of black people...well, most western script writers are white males, for whatever reason (let's not go into that). White males are more likely to write white male characters.

@xIRxIExIIVIIx Yes, bought it a couple of hours ago and the Overhaul mods works like a charm. The installation takes some time, because you'll have to do a lot of things step by step. There''s a good setup guide though. Get it, completely worth it. Really looking forward to playing Morrowind now after...almost 10 years I guess.

I've got to ask, do you what are the system requirements for this mod? My computer runs on XP which runs the original game pretty well, I also have better bodies, heads, armor, weapons, clothes, and enemies, and it runs those mods well too, but this mod seems a lot better. My computer has 2.1 ghz, but it's only got 461 mb of RAM, and a 32 bit video card.

Most of the visual enhancements such as Depth of Field, the Water, SSAO (An ambient Occlusion shader that adds shadow looking things), bloom, HDR, and those other effects are through MGE which effects the game universally. The game also has overhauls for Solstheim and Mournhold build in that do the same thing to them that the other mods did to Morrowind.

Dude, download MGE XE and use it with Morrowind Overhaul. It adds dynamic shadows and runs better. The dynamic shadows move with the sun, it's great and runs well, too. It makes all the difference.
