dude would you upload a video with the basics on how to play it? in like 4 weeks I have the aniversary with my girlfriend and I would love to play and sing this song for here...im triying but is taking me a long time :S ,,,plz im kind of in a rush XD thx dude!...love your version waooooo! is so perfect!!! love it love it love it and hopefully she will too
Thank you, Popautor! Switching from picking to brushing's a little tricky on this one, but it's not too bad. It'll probably hit you all at once, that's what happened to me. And I would have printed lyrics for you, but I don't own the rights...next original though. Take it easy.
So that's the melodica I've been hearing... I've got a light blue one too. I think they're coming back in a big way! I'm not as familiar with the Decemberists as maybe I should be, judging from the few songs I've heard they have a lyrical style I really dig.
Hey Raul. You have a melodica? It hasn't made its small-screen debut yet, has it? Don't recall it in any of your vids. I'd highly recommend checking out the Decemberists. If you're motivated, I'd look into the album "Her Majesty". Later.
haha...well it gave me a chuckle, Johnny. My friends give me a performance complex. But I won't complain, I like being with talented company. Have a good one!
Ah, I think this is an excellent rendition Josef. The Decemberists look good on you :o) The melodica was perfect too. I'm either going to get a melodica or a small accordian. But, maybe I'll get one of those big-ass accodians and make eveybody's ears bleed, eh? haha :o) Do some more Decem's Joe. "Eli The Barrow Boy", now that is a MysticCynic song if I ever heard one :o) -Ron
Phew, I can breathe a little easier...now that it's been cleared by a Decemberists connoisseur. It's rough, but I've been sticking to the one-take policy. I'd recommend a melodica...you get the accordion sound, but they're easier to learn and cheaper. But I bet a full accordion gets more chicks...haha. Funny you mention Eli, I started working on it after Duncan mentioned a cover a couple months back, then I forgot. May have to retry it. Thanks again, my friend.
New song to me but very very cool tune. Great job here too man this is truly something different which is awesome. I have been wondering for a while now so I am just going to come right out and ask you. What happened to your head? Did you lose it in an accident or something. Not that it matters. You play and sing very well without the head.
Many thanks, Richard. You should check them out, I think they're one of the better active bands out there. The first time I heard "Los Angeles, I'm Yours" I had to find out who the band was. I'll see if I can find a link to it. Cheers!
Thanks, Justin. Yeah...they seem to have a cult following. Almost sounds like an MC song, eh? Guess I can nerd it up with the best of 'em...haha. Take 'er easy.

Self effacement can be sweet when its true but its just annoying when used to point out your talent.
HAHA Just kidding I wanted to try for a quotable moment but I only succeeded in annoying myself.
