Sure wasn't conservatives who shipped our jobs over seas, raised taxes, and screwed up the economy. Ever heard of Barney Frank? Henry Cisneros? Ever heard of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)? How about the World Bank? They run the world. How about the Brookings Institute?
I don't think the song mentions conservatives. Corporations are mentioned. They tend to be run by conservatives. As for screwing up the economy, I think a very good case could be made that Reagan economics are the root cause of the financial meltdown, though the Bushes and Clinton helped. I have heard of the IMF and the World Bank. Both are controlled by the U.S. economists who supported Reaganism.
