Modeled that back before I was modeling at an advanced level in Maya, Also learning Zbrush at the moment. It was to be a devils sunrise sword but the reference image was horrible and pixelated. I should have drawn one and model/sculpt detail to it. Regardless that was just to show off. I am a big Maya/Zbrush/Photoshop guy as far as modeling/sculpting/texturing. I have only used Max a few times. Though I have friends that are pro in max and xsi so I keep up to date with them all.

ah ok. Yeah its hard to work with a shitty reference from ms haha. i did the same thing but with a Doombringer, hardest thing ever to model off something so damn pixelated. Im getting to know Maya alot better now and am gonna learn zbrush soon..

i do gotta say good job with this tho, modeling in maya really is hard.

when i learnt MAYA in CCA my trainer only taught me how to set camera angles, flow to motion path, UV Texture Editor and adding in 2D objects. Never taught us how to turn a 2D object into 3d mode
