As far as I know, the option is Aim Assist. The game helps you aim is all. Say you are running along a path and a guy runs by you, your gun will aim towards him or in the general direction of the enemy. But it won't LOCK onto his or her head.

When you aim, it should also aim towards someone or around them. It basically gives away a position, or where someone might be if it senses that there's an enemy. It's not really helpful. It does kinda throw shots off if you have it turned on.

@xtrlxHD i play on pc, so bear with me for a second, but is the option called "aim assist" or something different? because console shooters have 2 types of aim assist. one is the aiming reticle sticking to the target a little bit (which would be labeled as aim assist, and i can see why you may want to turn that off), and the other is called "bullet magnetism", where a shot's movement vector will adjust itself to be more on target.
