Wow, a dog that can act really well! Usually in movies the "dangerous aggressive dog" ruins the scene with furious tail wagging and showing pride in how well he does tricks.

This one first scared me but then it got obvious that he's trained.

Now if Johanna is about to get mugged, and the Rotti growles like that, no mugger will know it is just a trick, there will never be a need for him to attack in any way.

If something were to happen to one of the owners the dog knows what it means to be protective, she is saying dangerous yet the dog is not hurting anyone. It would scare off just about anyone bc people are asswipes and don't know any better thinking that these dogs are all mean and viscous. She is actually a very smart owner.

@V114573 Actually, I'd say the opposite is true. This video shows that the breed is extremely obedient to training. You can clearly see in the clip that he only displays aggression when prompted by the owner's verbal commands, and appears very calm and docile otherwise.

@googleisshittoss I grew up with 3 rotties (2 then 1) and like this video we could train them to pretty much do anything we asked them too and they loved to learn. This dog won't associate this to aggression, they see it as pleasing their owner. Rotties are extremely soft, playful and loyal dogs who are very intelligent. Replying "police train dogs to perform a task" doesn't cut it. I could just say the owner of this dog is "training their dog to perform a task". Media hype!

@googleisshittoss As for dogs attacking people you will find smaller dogs are the most aggresive by nature. The only reason it isn't media news is they cause less damage. Dogs like Rotties have been owned for image so have picked up a bad name, but Rotties brought up by dog lovers who pay attention to them, understand the breed and spend time training them turn out just fine. Like people, up bringing is vital.
