thank you thank you thank you!!! I'm the only lefty in my family, and my mom and aunts have never been able to teach me how to knit OR crochet. As a result, I'm a self-taught crafter. I'm so sick of people telling me I crochet "backwards" and to learn "the right way". I say, screw you! lol. thanks again. =]

I can only imagine how tough it must be to be the only left-hander in a family (I'm a left-hander in a family of three left-handers and two right-handers).

Not really. She was just repeating the process several time so people could get it. I'm a beginner, as well. Right handed, so I know to do the opposite.

Thank you. Although I have knitted left handed for many years, there are those who are wanting to learn who get no better advice than to "learn to do it right handed". I find that extremely arrogant and wonder if the shoe was on the other foot how a right hander would like being told to just learn to do it left handed.
