I did this descent last summer (the locals at Pollensa called it the Milk Run up the col de sa batailla to crux and down this way). Great place to practice going fast - I topped 45mph but didnt overtake any cars!
If you have to ask that question, you probably shouldn't be spending anywhere near that amount of money. It's much more about the rider, than the bike they're on, and there are so many stories of people buying expensive racing bikes, and then not enjoying it after a couple of weeks, and selling on the bike again (for much less than they got it for originally). Read some bike magazines and get an idea of what you can get for your money, and how much/what sort of cycling you want to be doing :)
Just skimming through the downhill videos after watching some taken in Norikura Japan after touring it last year and this brings back great memories. I've driven this road many a time and it's quite incredible. This is a great video and thanks for uploading it.

I will use my bike for fitness and will complete the London to Brighton ride next year..
