  • Hey sweetie! found this by accident, and I'm soooo glad I did !! Matt, wow! These are really wonderful compositions and some very mystical enhancements I LOVE it You do really fine work, and I consider myself very blessed to know you, MM dear :)MP MM again! Firebird

  • @FirebirdFlys13 Thanks Iriss! It was'nt hard to get great shots of Stonehenge-I just aimed my camera -the Stones did the rest! I appreciate your comments. Hope all is well.

  • Nice music!!! There was a team of archeologists who discovered that the ground under the stones is not older than 300 years.

So that would mean that stonehenge itself is not older than 300 years.

What do you think of this?

  • @funkeyfact .I think you've been listening to urban myths! only TWO sets of archaeologists have been allowed to do any work inside the henge within the past 40 years, & the work of both is readily available on the net. You can't carbon date soil, you know, it has to be organic matter, and to get under the stones you'd have to lift them !Bone and antlers from the site comes up with dates between 2000-3000 bc (with error margins of a few hundred years.)The earliest drawing of SH btw is medieval.

  • may the stones stand for ever great

  • yep, this is a great video and song - and I agree open access to stonehenge is great. But I've seen the litter left in the morning after the solstice, I've seen people jumping upon and down on the stones like monkies, walking along the top lintels(and falling off head first).... just wish people would be more respectful and not treat the place like a rave site

  • Questo è Paradiso!

  • Grüße aus der Oberlausitz!

  • Lovely images and choice of music

  • seyxlondon... the song is Turning Ground and the singer Caroline Lavelle.

  • i´ve always wanted to go there, it´s amazing, hope i can reach it soon

  • best time to go to henge is solstices+equinoxes its free then+were allowed in the stones not that they can keep us out love this vid its an awesome song cheers for posting it x$x

  • nice , alles fur europa

  • Read 'Solving Stonehenge' before you visit (you'll know more than the tour guide)!

  • Haloween + these stones look like it saying something, Hebrew Letters Are same, Does this say a hidden message dead symbolic. it has its own notes, the door way reads gods in hebrew i was reading Deuteronomy in the bible and hebrew letters arch and bridge gaps like that stone circle, anyway just a thought, and thanks nice vid, peace.[|][|][|] survived all these years.

  • Interesting! does anyone knows the song and the artist name?

  • I visited Stonrhrngr on January 4, 2008. It was an amazing day for me. I`ve always wanted to visit it.

Great video! I just loved the images and the song.

  • Excellent!absolutely excellent.

  • Stonehenge,what an incredible achievement,quite amazing!

  • pretty sweet!

  • Very nice indeed. You must have been out there for days to get all those weather patterns. lol -

  • Looks weird without all the (brightly-coloured American) tourists! lol

  • looks like the way it should...

  • No it doesn't. It looks exactly how the victorians thought it should look like after they tried to put it back together.

    Great music though!!

    Blessed be.

  • The monument fell into disrepair during the Victorian period. It was the 50's and 60's that saw the majority of its restoration.

  • You are an artist. That is the most beautiful photography. Thankyou for your talent and vision.

  • I really appreciate the compliment! It may be the nicest I've ever received! Thanks!

  • what is the song??

  • very cool! very cool!

  • Very good!

Have a look at Thornborough Henge on YouTube - it's 12 times bigger than Stonhenge and needs protecting! Please take a look.

  • Great use of stills to make a video. Very moving, and a great track to accompany them. Thankyou.

  • One word "wonderful"

  • Thanks for your wonderful comment-I made arrangements to access inside Stonehenge months before I went to England.I knew I'd be very unhappy viewing behind the rope! I wanted the "experience"- though I understand why they do it-I saw graffiti and damage at some of the other sacred sites- too bad not everyone respects these places like you and I ! Thanks again

  • I have been v/lucky to have gone there twice, but long befor the restrictions of todays. It was so nice to see your work, it was like a return visit. Thank you for that.

  • Wonderful Images :) One day i will have to visit and see this majical place. Ive always wanted to also visit this serene country. Thank you for sharing. ;)

    much Luv and Peace

  • Wow! stonehenge has always had a deep place in my heart.. your video broght tears of joy to my eyes... Excellent and Beautiful work Stonehengeblue. :'-)

  • the henge is a magickal place in fact that part of england is full of magick..stonehenge..woodhenge..avebury..anyone who hasn't been should try to get there at least once in their life just to feel the buzz that comes from the whole place.

    wassail(be whole)

  • You are absolutely right about the buzz!

    Magick abounds!

    Solstice Salutations to you!

  • Beautiful choice of music and love the drama of the black/white photos ---- the otherworldly-ness of the stones appearing in the morning mist is breathtaking. I know these were photographs taken on your trip and now wonder if you were allowed "All Access" into the world of fey? ;)

  • I was allowed access into the world of the fey folk, but they made me check the camera at the portal! Thanks for your response!

  • Excellent! Freaking beautiful, I love how you played with the images to vary their meaning. I'll give it three snaps up, a twist, a spiral, and a Winter's Solstice Wave!!!

  • Thankyou for the first response on my first video slideshow! Stonehenge did most of the work, however!
