I have seen a much different strat being used on lfr. I'm just wondering if it's the semi official strat for the boss now, only applicable to lfr, or random chance. Basically people stay in the middle the whole fight to avoid rolls, and only kill 1 tentacle, not 3.  Otherwise, the same. Let me know, ty.

@BowmanHawk LFR is completely different from the normal version of all the bosses, even morchok does a little less damage in LFR.

@WoodsyNoob Fair enough. From what i have seen thus far though the mechanics/ strats of the fight remain the same for all encounters. Understandably damage would be higher. Yet what i have seen from L2R 25 man vids and Tankspot vids, strats in lfr for all encounters, except spine, seem the same as the reg versions.

@BowmanHawk In LFR some boss mechanics / abilities are taken out for PuGs to complete the fights easier. Therefore also strategies are different. Normal has most abilities, but Heroic is the right difficulty to do, though it's very hard.

@learntoraid I guess I picked a bad guide for an example of this since this is one that didn't bother me in this regard. I also understand the idea behind clipping so that the mechanics you are verbally and visually talking about are present for further examples, maybe its just a personal preference to see the whole fight with the important parts highlighted as they happen. also not knocking the guides themselves since they have helped me immensely.

@nrathbon1 Though I understand your concern, 1:59 - 3:24 shows one complete plate phase without any cuts or edits. This is in here specifically so that you CAN actually see how the fight progresses. Once you've seen one plate removed, you've seen them all removed. This phase is repeated twice in order to kill the boss.

@learntoraid Yep that is true when it comes to this encounter, but for the future guides it would be nice if you would show how the whole fight progresses, except if you want to show some specific ability.

@learntoraid For comparison, Tankspot, while discussing fights, shows footage of the relevant portions (including footage from wipes to illustrate what happens if you make a mistake), then shows a complete boss kill at the end. I found this to be an effective way of showing the entire fight in addition to showing all the mechanics, but your way is better than videos that just show the fight (and may not give a good look at some mechanics).
