@colormewho she died from inflamation of the lungs with a few rocks and a penny in an abnormal pocket. They say it is the first case that ever happend in cetaceans.

I feel so bad for Aroura. She must be torn apart so badly. I'm sorry to you too, Nala. The fact that some idiot threw in a coin to your tank was nothing but careless idiot nature, and it's a shame that such a beautiful creature so young and cute was killed because of this. RIP baby Nala.

I wish the baby belugas had recieved real Inuit names and not Inuktitut words, chopped up and anglicised to sound like familiar English girl names. Imaq, Kavna and Nanuq have great, Inuit-sounding names. Nala is a character from the Lion King.

I'm glad she's doing well though. I was thrilled Tiqa did so well in her first year. Given the record of captive beluga births and deaths, I was concerned, of the two babies born so close together, one wouldn't make it.

the part at 1:13-1:27 is by fr the best part. The calf is playing with the camera, and then big sister tiqa comes over to play. She's like, "What are you doing, lil sis?"

Then she sees the camera and is like, "ooh, ooh, camera! camera! let me in the camera, sis". Then they start playing with eachother.
