2K Czech's Illusion Engine uses PhysX (NVIDIA), which was especifically built for this game. It took over 7 years to make.

And I don't know if you can dive off of the car.

I played the first MAfia on PC (finished it like 5 times), man what a nice game, it actually still looks pretty good on PC everything high

Actually when released the first mafia (one year later than gta3) was much better than gta (at least in terms of graphics), so high expectations for MAFIA II
