  • I want one

  • No Ive never had a racoon as a pet, but my dad did have a squril once. It damaged a lot of stuff. but a lil misbehavior from any pet is to be expected.

  • where the hell did u get it?

  • Oh look at that big soft kitty!!! I dare you to put your face in that belly and blow fart noises lol

  • You must have a BIG cat box!

  • I'm sure you nobody has to tell you about bobcats (or lynxes for that matter) since you live with one ... (lol) ... I wouldn't trust living with one though (I read that these things can kill a pitbull) ...

  • This IS wrong !!!!

  • Awww man! I want one!

Do they respond to a name? Can you tame them to be gentle and kind to visitors?

  • do they sometimes eat the grass like small cats do, why is there grass by the bobcat??

  • Shame on you if you declawed him

  • beautiful. but damn that thing could really fuck you up if it wanted to

  • i love how its wagging it's tail :)

  • its a nice animal but its better for him to be outside...

  • That is a real bobcat. I didn't know you could make pets out of them.

  • bobcats like "stay away from my belly!! my food!!"

  • how much was the bobcat

  • my school should have a pet bobcat. its our mascot.

  • fraps??

  • I see a mawling in you future. Just a wild guess though.

  • that would be awesome to have one of these! ive got a 3 y/o little girl though i dont know if i would trust it around her..

  • imagine someone trying to rob a house and they see a bobcat i would run like no other

  • I wonder if a bobcat can protect your'e house!

  • This is a very cute bobcat! I got a question, do they smell? Because one nicest thing about cats is that they don't smell.

  • does this one have claws?

  • I think he's high

  • Putting this beautiful creature back in the wild wouldn't do anybody any good. It would probably starve to death or get shot because it was trying to eat somebody's pet.

  • looks like it only likes getting head rubs lol

  • @VulcanXL

you are right! but i beleave most outdoor pets have there "Outdoor" hunting skills still and can strike at any moment

  • Do they meow like a house cat?

  • This is still a wild animal. I hope you know what you are doing. They should not be pets.

  • @freetheelephants1

    they make fine pets

you just need to get them as kittens otherwise........

  • Where did you get your bobcat ? I want one!!!

  • Awe, he's so cuteeeee. I have a pixie-bob that takes my hand in his mouth without actually biting. It's funny. :3

  • People don't understand that most wild house pet animals, like this bob cat, live a way better life in a house, than out in the wild.

  • They may have a better life in some respects. However, they loose their ability to survive in the wild. Their instincts are to hunt rabbits and other small game and they are being deprived the freedom to do that.

  • @DSmith99000

Well, as long as they don't get lost from your home, they will always have food&water&shelter. So it doesn't hurt them if they don't need to hunt to survive. I'm not saying lets bring all them out of nature, but the ones who don't have to live in nature and aren't abused by their owners are extremely better off.

  • @DSmith99000 So are you... I think you need to go out there and throw spears at buffalo ... maybe wear some animal skin as camouflage... wouldn't that be a better life? Why do you hide behind civilization?

  • @PokerVertigo Maybe your right! Maybe it would be a better life. Perhaps even a more honest one. To tell you the truth I have actually considered what you have suggested. In fact I am still considering it.

  • @VulcanXL IAny animal lives better with a human slave.

  • @Charlymaumushi

Exactly! Humans do all the work, and the animals get to lazy about, get provided food they didn't work that hard to earn, be protected and sheltered from the wilds

  • @VulcanXL exactly, this "better free" also means "easier to kill".

it is a target for hunters, wolves, wolverines, moose, many things that kill these things for fun. A bob car will not defeat a bear and definitely not a rifle.

at the end of the day its just a cat, albeit a big one.

  • @VulcanXL hell yea they get there own bed there own food so they dont have to hunt there own kitty litter man thats the life : )

  • @VulcanXL I agree 100%. This cat has it made in the shade! He's safe, well fed, and loved. I am sure he is happy, and doesn't yearn for the "wild". You're right. They usually have it much better in a home situation than in the wild. >^.^<

  • @VulcanXL no.....they dont

  • @ceilingkatt

No, they don't what?.... Do You honestly think a wild life animal who struggles everyday to find food, shelter and keep them self safe from other predators has a better and more loving life than one that is domesticated and is given attention as if they were the family's baby? ROFL

  • @VulcanXL i agree on that, and btw i had a lynx sitting in the grass only 4 mtrs away from me outside my house while i was smokin; turned towards it and stepped forward and it ran off ( befor u ask: i live in norway, close to the forest )

  • @VulcanXL I agree people just only think of the abused animals

  • You should not have a bobcat. It should be living free in the wild, not in a house!

  • good kitty!

  • He looks like a happy bob-cat

  • You guys are like retarded? It's like you havn't heard a dog growl, or a cat attack you kinda? Dogs, and bob cats arn't that similar, but can still do damage to you. For instince, a dog can easily attack and kill you if no one were around to help.(not saying they would.). A bob cat can kill you too. The only reason they would have to attack you is, you're hurting them, or another bad reason. But, he was playing with his bob cat, and my dog growls at me when I touch his paws too, he's playing.

  • I didn't realize a bobcat would use a litterbox(lol)

Do you have any other cats?

  • It's so cute!!!

  • so what happened? cavemen took bobcats home, or cats escaped and became bobcats?

  • neither

  • It may look violent, but its whiskers and ears say "Play with me, I love you!" That and the whole baiting with the stomach thing. Most domestic cats learn not to bite / harm their humans (not sure if 'owner' applies in this case) because it doesn't benefit you, and results in play stopping. I assume that Bobcats are bright enough to worm that out too, if they survive in the wild, and would follow the same logic.

    Hurt Human = No Play.

  • @FaernFlameshine Exactly. In temperament bobcats are not so different from a typical house cat. They certainly require a great deal of respect and responsibility, but these people who seem to think they are vicious, wild killing machines have no clue how a bobcat behaves.

  • u sooooo dont wait that biting u, ouch

  • Hmmm... not exactly the monster AR activists make these cats out to be... would love to see a little disclaimer on the video regarding following regs and doing homework before purchase... otherwise... very cute video of your very sweet pet:)

  • No question,this is a super Tomcat !

  • @redneckjwillo You are sociopath, and you will live till you kill someone,or someone kill you.

  • where the hell do you get one of those???

  • aw(: holly crap tho. i would never pretend my hand is a monster to this cats belly. a bobcat must play ruff.

  • it scares me a bit and i wouldnt approach it unless i raised it myself

what does it eat? i mean does it eat cat food aswell?

  • it eats Number5fr and Number7fr so you are safe.

  • 0:51 HOMIE DON'T PLAY DAT! @_@

  • 0:23 ohai, hug plz

  • It would probably rip off your face. Or try to, anyway.

  • Hocu i ja jednog ovako malog i svatkog risova !

  • haha, ja perlog kovki sathu voraci!

  • bobcats are unpredictable character... I prefer a puma like a pet.. I had one..

  • He has a buzz alright!

Is this animal a pet? Or does it live at a zoo or rescue? Just curious.

  • Catnip affects all cats? very cool. It drives my cat right up the wall for about 20 minutes, lol.

  • That's not catnip, it looks like "pet grass."

  • Are bob cats capable of mating with house cats to produce kittens?

  • Look up the "Felid hybrid" article on Wikipedia.

  • dam it popped ya pretty good did it hurt ya or did it just knocked the camera around

  • he popped you good! lol you were messing w. his buzz!

  • that cats got a temper!

  • No wonder its being lovey -dovey,its laying on real catnip. LOL

  • I've grown catnip... that's not catnip. It looks like cat grass or something

  • Huh he doesn't look too happy to see you...how the hell did you get it??

  • Looks happy to me.

  • Private breeders and zoo auctions are the most common source of exotic cats for pets. And he looks happy. The swatting is playful. You can see the same sort of behaviour in domestic cats.

  • If you want a big cat like this, I would recommend going with a lynx rather than a bobcat. Lynxes are generally a bit larger and bobcats tend to have a more aggressive disposition. However in many states it is illegal to own wild cats, you would need to check your local laws and regulations before ever considering ownership.

  • Really? I was wanting to get a bobcat specifically because they're smaller and, I figured, less dangerous than a (Canadian) lynx. Are they that much more aggressive?

  • Nope, its like most animals, the smaller they are the more aggressive they need to be to survive.

  • Actually I should revise that; canadian lynxes are still terribly dangerous, and its not to say that a bobcat would win in a fight, but rather bobcats tend to have a more aggressive disposition. If you pissed off a lynx enough I can assure you he will be dangerous, but they are generally less tempermental than bobcats.

  • Start with a Bengal cat, you might not want any more after that, big cats are cool, not neccessarilly fun! My guy, Calvin, a Snow Leopord Bengal is more destructive than I ever could have imagined.

  • Wow! Thanks for the tip Waults! If you don't mind telling me, how destructive is he (Calvin) really? What has he done, and are you gonna keep him in spite of this?

  • Oh just a couple holes in the sheetrock & the sides of the furniture, Calvin really just acts like any other cat, but at 22 lbs, when he decides to scratch something, he means business. I had to wiegh down my trash can with a block of steel to keep it upright. And keep your shoes in the closet, or they get carried off and the laces get chewed. He's really big on stealing stuff and hiding it. Still a nice cat though, has to be part of whatever you do, more like a puppy than a cat.

  • @waults racoons are destructive too.

  • @greytimberwolfpup I could see that being an issue, I've never even thought about having a racoon as a pet. That would be pretty cool though, have you had one?

  • I've watched a handful of these domesticated bobcat vids, and they all seem to be suckers for under the chin scratching

  • i noticed that too..

  • i guess because they have something like a "beard" that gets really itchy.

  • He looks like a friendly cat.but looks like he has his days

  • That is one cat i would no shoo off the bed i would simply sleep on the coach lol

  • how can i get one first off and secondly do i need a licens to get one

  • Is that green stuff wild catnip?:)

  • Really great cat

  • hahah hes like mofo what you staring at? *POW* punches camera

  • try use a red laser light pointer,,,

a bobcat will love it chase follow it

  • this is a bobcat people not a housecat

  • i gotta ask, where did you get the bobcat? i have no problem with you having it, just wondering.

  • It's called purring, not growling.

  • My cat does sometimes too when you try to pet him where his neck is.. sometimes he likes and sometimes hates it.

  • my cats exactly the same

  • Do people who have wild animals as pets (like a bobcat) get them declawed???

  • im sure some people do...thats pretty cruel though. then the cat has no way of defending itself.

  • That's why you keep your little loved ones indoors. People who let their cats go outside are cruel. Every time I see a cat or a dog become roadkill I am even more glad that my babies never have to worry about that... or disease.

  • Oh ya like putting gold chain around your neck and keeping you locked up all the times thats pretty good isnt it

  • Actually, I don't keep chains on my cats. I don't think most people do. They live very comfortable lives without the risk of dangers. My cats seem pretty content with life. When I take them outside, they just want to go back indoors.

  • Big Kitties are much like the small ones feral, and all the small cat issues become big ones. If you get it small, fixed, well accumulated, with a big littler box, and no furniture and love cats then big kitty is not a problem. You must understand the temperament of wild and wild means don't frack with me dude because i can frack back.

  • Wish I could have a bobcat like this one. It's a really nice cat. Hope you enjoy having it.

  • Holy shit, that's a serious kitty!

  • lynxes and bobcats are wild cats and they re not bred for domestican. they re best in the wild. all it does take an iota of a chance and they will lunge right at u and gonna be one hell of a price to pay!

  • can someone tell me of any breeders in the UK?

  • I have immense respect for people who adopt exotic animals like this while their eyes are still closed, then dedicate a ton of time learning everything they can to give it the best life possible, as well as a lot of love and respect.

I have the opposite feelings to people who get wild animals like these on a casual basis "cause it's cool."

You have no right to run your mouth off and judge others from your high horse from where you have ZERO experience.

HATS OFF to those who do it right!

  • can u buy these as a pet in new york

  • ugh how about it being illegal in most places to own one of these and the hundreds of mom bobcats that are killed each year so assholes like this can have the kittens... yeah really cool.

  • hello every body heres a hint about bobcats be sure to take the cat to a vet before makeing him an inside cat some bobcats have perasites that make you sick some people died from it please remember my hint and becareful around wood areas thats where they like to attack they are very wild if you want to have a baby pet bobcat look in caves for bobcat nest and beware nomatter if its day or night the mother can still hear well and see realy good at night

  • Absolutely one of the most gorgeous animals in nature!

  • Does he meow?

  • no LOL sorry

  • Look at those huge paws! Cool.

  • Has this animal ever seriously hurt you? I can't imagine that it would ever completly adapt to the domestic life. Do you have a permit for it?

It's awfully cute though- obvioulsy doesn't like getting his belly rubbed lol

  • can you get me 1 dude? there is no law ere in n ireland against keeping exotics, well at least there was nt, but that may have changed as some idiot let a pet puma loose & was running around the countryside killin sheep, its still at large. but i would love a bobcat they are a managable cat anything larger i think is just silly.

  • Nobody 'let a puma loose'. That's the lies being spread by animal rights activists, in order to frighten gullible busy-bodies and politicians into demanding laws to prevent 'children from being killed'. Those AR fanatics actually let big cats loose, call the news and law, just so they can then say that they've been say this would happen. If you have the right to have wild animal pets, fight to protect it, or sooner or later, it'll be gone. Bad owners are what should be banned.

  • @psycotria its the sorting out of the bad owners thats the problem really DX

  • there is a comparison, in a death battle a bobcat would either bite his neck and kill him or ferociously claw him to death. pwn

  • that thing would own a pitbull!

  • There are pitbulls been killed by these animals =) They're wild animals don't forget

  • proove it

  • Exactly, prove that a pitbull has been 'killed' by a 15-30lbs bobcat.

  • Wouldn't take much for a bobcat to kill a pitbull, or any other dog for that matter. For all their viciousness, a dog only has their teeth. A bobcat has their teeth and razor-sharp claws at the end of all four limbs. A pitbull would not stand a chance in a fight to the death. It would be interesting to see though.

  • im sorry but you may be mistaken for mountain lions... they have killed some dogs in the town i live

  • yeah man a mountain lion isn't even in the topic because we all know a mountain lion would eat a pit bull like a orio snack ... especially a full grown male ... there can get up to near 200 pounds...

  • MY ASS nixtux2003

  • there is no way this cat could kill a pitbull

  • I ageree, but you get thumbed down for thinking that.

Apparently, retardation is rampant on this video.

  • Pitbulls are intimidating to humans. However, your insult aside, a pitbull would have NO chance against a bobcat. Yes, pitbulls are more aggressive, but if one picked a fight with a bobcat, and the bobcat engaged, it would be all over but the crying. The bobcat is WAY quicker, more agile, has claws that would rip any dog to shreds, and is probably even stronger than a pitbull.

  • Only retard is you for not knowing a dam thing about big cats.... a full grown adult male bobcat will take down a deer dude ... so yes they will eat your pitbull rather quickly ... there 10 times faster .... more aggresive when there mad ... BIG cats are the king of fighting dude ... besides a wolverine which would have fun eating a pitbull as well ...

  • Retard I don't have a pitbull. I simply dont believe bobcats will win.

I have two cats. Both are fair sized cats. 15-20lbs. A Bengal/Savannah cross.

Bobcats don't take down FULL SIZE deer. They take down fawns for fuck sakes. When they do take down a full size deer, the DEER is typically injured or a dead carcass never recovered during HUNTING season.

Go do some fucking reading about bobcats.

They are considered small-big cats. They aren't much BIGGER than my Bengal/Savannah.

  • Sorry bro, but I have quite a bit of interest in bobcats. I know for a fact that they do take down full sized deer and many other types of animals. They are vicious and usually go for the throat/back of the head just below the skull. They can bite repeatedly and VERY fast. I have done my reading. I plan to get one as a pet.

  • Bobcats, regardless, will attack smaller prey such as fawns. Statistically, 6 out of 40 deer killed, are full sized. They assume bobcats simply because they are feeding on the carcase.

In the rare cases a bobcat kills a deer, the deer is prone, therefore, a easy kill.

Dogs can kill deer too. However those same dogs would get destroyed by a Pitbull.

A Bobcat, albeit, a fair cat, would get killed 9/10 times. Bobcats, like cats, also run away when injured, unless trapped.

    Just my thoughts.

  • Man I have done my reading ... RETARD ... maybe you should do some reading because you talking out your stink hole ...

  • Clearly you lack an ability to read since I have a pit bull (sarcasm.)

  • Where did you get your Bobcat? My Dad is interested in buying one for a pet too.

  • Do you still have him? What's his name and how are they as pets???

  • I'd like to try rubbing the bobcats belly. Ya right, cat have sharp enough claws as it is.

  • That is a wicked growl. When my cat, muffins II, gets run over or eaten by a dog or w/e I think I'll upgrade to one of these bad boys. How big do they get? If they get big enough to take out a 10-yo child I might have to tell my neighbors or something. Your kitty is cute btw!! Thanks for the video!

  • yeah the lynx os a cool cat but im not in canada LOL

  • It's adorable, although I prefer the Canadian Lynx.

  • no we got him from the river when his eyes when his eyes were still closed it was the wrong time of seson when we got him so he prolly would have died

  • did you obtain him from a breeder?

  • well u can get one shipped just find ya a breeder might cost ya alittle

  • @insycosaneman i dont mean to be a smart elec. Im asking this becouse I really dont know.

How does someone ship a Bobcat, or any other live animal? please I realy dont know.

  • Nice bobcat! Wish I could have one in Hong Kong. Not likely though. :-(

  • i love this cat man!

  • well he growls like a dog LOL but no it dont fetch LOL still if you say chicken he will lick his lips LOL and he comes sometimes LOL

  • have you raised him from a baby?? and he is more like a dog or is he still jst a cat? like does he come if you call him or play fetch or anything??

  • does he go outside?

  • yeah he did get me alittle not bad LOL but yeah he has his claws and teeth

  • nice video, i can't wait till i get one.

btw, does jimbob have his claws? he could have easily gotten you good a few times there

  • him

  • Hear "It?" growl?

    ....Nice.

  • cool video! my house cats love grass, dang that thing is big! nice growl!

  • LOL yeah its wicked

  • did you hear it growl

  • yea that was cool!

  • hahah that thing is cool!
