I'm guessing you a really big fan of CBS;;its not that i don't like them. But when i think about who i'll turn to in the morning its not The Early Show, i feel like they've had to many adjustments and they have made a lot of bad choices. I did love The Early Show when they had Rene Syler and Hannah Storm, but i just never found myself turning to them. I have a feeling that they'll soon lose their resurgence and soon fall behind Fox&Friends which they do every so and so.

umm Gretchen Carlson,Steve Doocey and Brian Kilmeade..and yep the Fox morning show on Fox News Channel often scores higher ratings than that of the Early Show.

I'm not a fan of anything CBS, but this opening was great, I don't like morning shows because they tend to lean more on women viewers, especially the Today Show, and Good Morning America used to be good until after 2002. Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer was great there although he's better on the evening side.

The only good thing about the Early show is the intro music, I love it.

GMA is way better in most other aspects though.

I like this graphics scheme more than the one they used from January-June 2008. I also love the theme; it is so fitting for the morning.

If I were CBS, I'd switch Harry Smith and Katie Couric. Smith seems like an Evening News anchor awkwardly placed in a morning role while vice versa for Couric.

The background music for the opening headlines is more friendly than Today's.

I agree, these look a lot like Today's graphics.

They should switch to HD soon, because I know for a fact that many people like the HD experience better and will definitely watch when they go HD. I happen to be one of those people. ;)

I do prefer the new logo, using half the CBS eye as a sun - neat. And the move back to the Eurostyle font for titles/captions/etc. is much better. It is more newsy than the last one. They should make the animated opening more clean, though, so that it doesn't look like something a kid made on his computer. But the basic elements look nice.

yeah, I like the graphics at the bottom of the screen, the set modifications and the thing in the corner. The opening is too smooth and looks like someone made it in powerpoint. It could be better.

This open reminds me of the first two opens (before the CBS News graphics/music revamp with Katie Couric) mixed together. Similar graphics to the "Brand New Day" open, with similar text to the original open with Bryant Gumbel and Jane Clayson. You don't happen to have the original opening from 1999-2002 do you? I can't seem to find the long version. I've only found the "somber" version from the day after the USS Cole was bombed.

i know it looks like they threw it together at last minute. i think that the new EP just changed the graphics to reflect that he is there now. THERE WAS NO NEED IN CHANGE OF GRAPHICS!!! but i do like the fact that Early has added a time/weather bug on the right.

I think they changed the graphics to look more like TODAY and GMA. The old graphics were ok. The newer ones are more newsy and less entertainment. They could have done better though. I do not think it is just there so the new EP can show he is there. In the lower right corner that time/temperature bug isn't from CBS. Your local affiliate has to put it there themselves and that time/temperature is different than most other affiliates.
