he did not only develop a new English practicing (did he say prac or sth like that?) system, he also developed a new Asian accent which is harder to understand than any of the current ones :)
@cwatching yea... this new accent is like more similiar to the american accent but a little weird... as if he is an american slurring his words, in a way
Li Yang has his own way to let people speak out. speaking is extremely important to English learners. When they can speak well, writing is not a problem anymore.
Li Yang is a brilliant teacher. There are millions of people around the world who could learn from his determination and tenacity! I enjoyed working with him for two weeks at Crazy English Camp in Beijing in 2006! This was an experience I will never forget. To all the naysayers and critics: What have you done to change the world lately?
But hey, lets be honest. He's not as good as he claims himself to be.
He always say that he teaches 'original' pronunciations in american accent. what a joke. He can't even get rid of his own accent in some of the vowels.
Why the hell would anyone need to learn from him when you have 300 million of american to listen to in the world?
When i grew up, i was constantly hearing his crap..
I think what he meant by learning English that starts with pronunciation is that a lot of Chinese people know the English grammar well, but they can't even speak a word of the language (and I don't mean with an accent, they literally can't pronounce). Even with a lame Asian accent, at least what this guy says is comprehensible. You don't need to learn accent-free English, you just need to speak enough of it so that others don't have troubles understand you.
His enlg is actually so baddd

我一直在怀疑他其实无法大段大段地将英语。。。。这个介绍10多年前就听过。关于他的video很多,但从来没见过他用大段英语随意和人交谈的场景。。。

@shibownbown 说实话。。。就算这段话。。我都觉得他有的地方讲得怪怪的。。。就是不是那么那么的标准。。。他弄了这么多年英文。。应该要讲得很标准才说得过去把。。。

He still got his accent. It's all lies that English speakers can't tell that's a person whose first language is not English.

his english is all right by chinese standard.
But hey, lets be honest. He's not as good as he claims himself to be.
