is it really accurate to call it inhospitable? The climate varies depending on which region of Skyrim you chose to visit. Some are heavily wooded areas no less hospitable than say that of northern cyrodil.
Good job making this. It was needed for new players who don't understand what the crap is going on when they immerse themselves in the world of Elder Scrolls without playing any other TES games. It was also great that you summarized most of the information, so many players can learn the history from the books in-game.
Yes, each province is under Imperial rule but they have their own leaders. Kinda like how the US has a president that leads the nation yet has governors who run each state independently but are subject to the laws of the federal government.
So in essence the Emperors of Tamriel (the Septims) rule yet the kings and various leaders run each province and pledge allegiance to the emperor.
@STORMofINSULTS And yet in Oblivion, when the Septim's fall and Martin builds an army to defeat Oblivion, no one but the game's cities showed up. I do believe some political pimp slapping is in order on whoever takes the throne in Martin's place...(I didn't realize the Septim's ruled more than Cyrodiil till now, btw so thanks for that)
hmm.. interesting. so all the countries in Tamriel seem to run together rather nicely. Perhaps when they are done with the individual countries they will make a game with the entire continent? just an idea. but we've still got Skyrim to think about now :)
@Drakebro101 Well ES1 Arena had all the countries but it wasn't very detailed. 2 had High Rock and maybe another land. 3 had only a small part of Morrowind, and 4 had Cyrodil and now Skyrim gets its own. There are also at least 2 other continents that havent been in any games yet other than in books, and there are other Deadric realms to explore as well
