  • I love London! The vid is great!

  • You English take great care of your trains. Here in NYC the trains look like crap with all these gangsters scratching the windows and the trash left by irresponsible people.

  • weird, i got the central to Epping yesterday! ha..

  • Brings back memories. Could not help but be surprised just how huge the tunnel system is there.

  • wowo how fast do the doors close

  • Calling at all stations to Riiiiichmond.. The way he said Richmond

  • Riding the Circle Line on the London Underground all the way round and back again to where you started out nearly two hours earlier will give you a very good idea of what humanity in general is all about - I guarantee that you will see everything there is to see, pretty much, if you spend the entire day on a Circle line train - life in the raw, so to speak. All human life is on the London Underground - it can be great fun or it can be occasionally quite dispiriting, it depends on what you see,

  • miss u london ...

  • 0:10 THAT'S MY TRAIN I GOTA JUMP

  • the central line???

  • @studentechietino Yeah it is Central line.

  • I miss home!

  • pause at 1:57 you can see a guy with two heads

  • thats the light above shining on to the platform lol

  • Oh my gosh i saw it!

    proof ghosts exist! :D x

  • That's just a light reflecting off the window. I don't think so

  • i hate the underground so much if only the roads wernt so congested maybe i could breath air not sweat

  • Pause at 0:14

2nd red door from the right, there's a male ghost staring back.

  • i can't see it!!!!!! x

  • Look closer, Drogo.

  • if u look closely u can see it

  • Excellent! The sight of Refurbished D stock is most welcome. But I wonder why they are doing that, since they'll all be replaced by that S (as in Stupid) stock within five years!

  • depressing

  • this video freaks me out. the london underground is often populated gy good looking men but i still get all confused and paralyzed with claustrophobia, oh and everyone stares at the floor, ironically adding to my self conscious paranoia, mind the gap aaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • Why did'nt you put london underground and london underground (2) togeter?

  • Because i filmed "london underground (2)" after i had uploaded "london underground"

  • O yeh

  • that would have been me standing at the door at Notting Hill Gate 4 years ago. Sigh! I miss my London !

    thanks tg!

  • is the station at 4:17 the station right next to the dorms of the university of westminster?

  • THANKS

  • like you

  • Like Who?

  • that guy

  • What guy

  • spnogbob he said sad sad man

  • i hate the chube

  • why was wrong with my ass?

  • Mind The Gap!!!

  • i love the tube!!

  • unrefurbished D stock YEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!

  • that lovely sound...thats the best thing about london the underground i love the escaleters so tall!!

  • Where can I find videos of the old now retired stock? Not just the District Line but also the pre 1995 Central Line stock...any videos on here? I cant find any :(

  • coool london have modern trains and easy bbut in germany hannover there are cool subway the new is cool its silver confortable :D and looks cool

  • the Glasgow Subway is rough as hell, I fear the train will derail in those narrow tunnels everytime.

  • *** GOOD VIDEO 5+ ***

  • i miss London

  • I like how much information is given to the passengers in London underground trains (for example at 3:20)! In German subways the voice usually only tells the name of the next station ^^

  • Oh wow! I am glad I found this video since I am planning on going to college in London. The only problem is money. :)

  • Thanks :D yes, London is an expensive city

  • very nice video

  • I love the LU, it's like home to me! i love the way they shaped it to be a tube! (I still prefer southern train services, they run through southern england) wonder why it's called southern..

  • actually chicago's l is light years beyond the subway in nyc.... the one in nyc isnt even air conditioned.

  • nyc subway aint that impressive and in london, considering that it was the first, and now the largest, its kinda messy!!!!!!!! (at least in nyc the trains are on time LOL)

  • not even on time try to take line 1 at 1:00 am its crap and these days enter in the subway is just like enter into a sauna is very hot !

  • I miss this city so much!!!

  • You have express trains but London's normal trains go faster.

  • I'm also from NYC. The subway in NY is full of rats and bums. London has a much better system.

  • sweet! im trying to convince my mom to go here for vacation in the summer time.

  • i'm missing london

  • The trains are great what gets me is all those stairs you have to climb and endless passageways. But I still miss them.

  • the London Underground is probably the best out there with impeccable timing and amazing service.

  • Shit, I miss those red-white-blue wankers <3 One of the best things in London :)

  • The part where the train comes towards is scary. i keep thinking i will fall to the track

  • thanks for the video- i still see the underground as the best part of a day out i n London-theres nowhere else quite like it in the world, and i've been on metros in New york, Paris and Berlin. This video really captures the strange sounds and atmosphere.

  • Thanks, for me its the train into London and the underground thats the best part part of a day out in London :D

  • Yes--i know what you mean about the journey into London--you can be in no doubt you are entering a huge city. I'am fortunate enough to live near the west coast mainline, and the very impressive Virgin Pendolinos pass frequently. THANKS AGAIN

  • LONDON UNDER GROUND SCARES ME, I think I will get lost or run over.

    Good videos Tom

  • Same, but i fell like the banging of the train will make it crash

  • the voice that tells you its the next stop is soooooo annoying lol and the northern line has problems on it alot which is annoying to but i still wish i still lived in london

  • wish glasgow had an extended subway.

  • "This is a Piccadilly line service" - I'll remember that saying when I was in London one week and I used metro everyday. xD

  • These London Underground trains are much much better than what it was 32 years ago when you can get a ride as low as 5p ! 10p youi can go from Piccardili Circus to Russel Square.

  • Every other metro based theirs on London's, it was the first!

  • nice video. did anyone ask about you holding a camera?

  • Nope

  • is that paddington station i've been to london on a weekend trip on a virgin pendolino i really like london

  • The first and last clip are at Paddington, the pendolino is a great train :D

  • I beg to differ. They look nice externally and everything, but the interiors are terribly designed...

  • Yeh thats because its the central line. the central line sucks!

  • i'm talking about Pendolinos...

  • Central is one of the best. Wider door entrance (wider than any other line) super fast trains. And trains almost every 30 seconds in peak times. What else can you ask for? A spaceshuttle?

  • Trains do not come every 30 seconds, it is not possible. The Central line's peak hour headway is 120 seconds, which means two trains, if on scheduel, should pass the same point with 120secs between them. The only reason they'd be every 30secs is because there was a delay earlier and the trains have bunched up. 120secs isn't that impressive world wide, Moscow and Paris both run trains every 95secs, which is a little under a third more trains in an hour.

  • Why are you writing to me in the first place? Your telling me this is 'not possible'? so why when i stand on platforms this is the case, you asshole, dont try and act the smart arse with me.

  • Read my post carefully: "The only reason they'd be every 30secs is because there was a delay earlier and the trains have bunched up"

  • Yes I HAVE READ IT CLEARLY THANK YOU THE FIRST TIME. But you said 'it is not possible' if it happens when 'they are bunched up' then i suppose it is possible.

  • By saying that trains come every 30 seconds you are implying that that is the timetabled headway, as there is no other reason to say it otherwise, since most metros will have trains coming out of the tunnels if there is a backlog of trains after a delay. But I was unclear, sorry about that.

  • Your an idiot. It may not be part of the timetable BUT IT HAPPENS regulaly. Plus the trains do not come ever 120seconds its about 60 seconds.

  • The tone of your first post suggests you think trains coming every 60 secs is a good thing, it isn't as it means LU isn't managing their headways properly, if they were trains would be exactly 120secs apart. See this clip from Moscow: PLYx5iFpLYI the train arrives nearly exactly 95secs after the first one, the line is timetabled for 95secs, that's how it should be! Now, if you want to go on about the exact definitions of every would in my first post, then go ahead, but don't expect me to reply.

  • It is a good thing if it arrives quickly. It means people being carried quicker and less overcrowding of both the train and platform.

  • It isn't if the second train arrives 30 seconds after the first one, and then the third comes 3 minutes and 30 seconds after the second to recover the gap in the service. Why do you think there are always delays where the driver says they are "regulating the service" because there should be an even gap between all the trains, and if one comes 30 seconds after the other then that is proof that there isn't an even gap!

  • I think you missed my first point. The central line have a super fast service.

  • Sheash I miss London... Fantastic city.

  • Mr Good lives in a place called Badland. Nobody in Badland is like Mr Good. In Badland people *do* slam doors. And they slam them in your face!

  • I love London!

  • Northern line my favourite - love London :)

  • This brings a lot of memory's back to me out of 1990-1991 when I yuse to drive these trains.

  • whats ur guys favourite station ?? mine has to be picadilly circus

  • i guessed i served myself right then

  • expensive ,takes a lot of time , a lot of walk

    still love London

  • i like london also but ur wrong about it taking a long time i missed a picadilly train and another one came like 20 seconds ltre dude but i still respect ur opinion

  • since i live in barnet i prefer to take the rail first then the underground its better

  • oh yh mee too i live in enfield

  • I really like London aswell, Oxford Street is the best :D

  • Did u get some really strange looks when u were filming? it's not the sort of thing people on tubes expect usually...

  • Not really, people just ignored me

  • Lol thats what londoners are all about. Scream in pain and they'll still ignore you. xD and Yay district line ealing broadway WhoooP! Love london...

  • ur so true about screaming in pain i was once as a train hit my head wen i was so close to the platform and no one helped me!!!!!!!!!

  • I've seen a blind guy on the streets of london being beaten up by some polish fat woman like on the other side of this big road, right near a crowded bus stop, but everyone just ignored it, like nothing was happening. Typical.

  • one day i tried to help a disable woman but she screamed in my face NO since that time i stopped

  • i live in london :-D!

  • London..how I love you!!!

  • omg..i miss london so much...

  • "This is a Piccadilly line service Heathrow terminals 1, 2 and 3.", heh I heard that one week when I was in London :D

  • london undeground is very interesting i went with my family on plenty of adventures watching this is good memories thanks!

  • great vid

I live in London and I have to say the tube system can be annoying sometimes. The trains often run late, with signal failures and the buskers

get a proper job you scum

  • im going to london in 7 days cant wait to go

  • I never expected there were more idiots like me who love London underground so much. I even miss the smell when I'm not there. I just love London and everything about it.

  • you are so lucky to be going back to London...wish I could go RIGHT NOW...have fun!

  • London is the best city but y not exsplor more of england

  • Good ole Jolly Old, cheers for sharing :)

  • I am so proud to be a Londoner

  • Very very clever, Tom.

    Alberto.

  • Thanks palissandri!! :)

  • average speed is normally 35mph central line comes in faster as it is automatic so trains starts stops itself same with victoria but normal trains come in 35-30mph i am a driver on northern line i normally come in at full speed as brakes are goond that type of train

  • what speed do london underground trains come in to stations at

  • I dont know the actual speed but for the deep lines like the central and jubilee its fast!! For sub surface lines like the circle and district its not as fast.

  • London I love you.

  • Next stop is camden town.... please mind the gap :D
