  • @allboostnojuice i was thinkin' about buyin' one but i keep reading horror stories about the timing belt tensioner and timing belt braking.. coil pack problems and sludge.....

  • @allboostnojuice Do you know how to replace the chain tensioners of an audi s4 4.2 v8 ?

  • Any other questions just let me know guys. I'll try to help.

  • @allboostnojuice i have a 2001 a4 2.8 quattro and i cant afford to take it to audi to get my timing belt replaced do you kno of and special tool i would need and a place for diy i cant find any... i am a newb to the whole fixing my own car thing lol... thanks in advance

  • what i do - put CRANK pully on mark on lower timing cover

this way you don't need to loose cam gears, unleas you change seals

if you not a mechanik- do not bi involvt in this belt

one of the water pump bolt hide under power stearing pump, betterr to remove it, this way you gut easy access to thermostat, always good idiea to replase with water pump

  • last time i done this job for 5.5 hours, without special locking camshaft tools. it is no marks on pullys, becouse all 4 cams has adjust timing. what i do - put cam pully on mark on lower timing cover, and just live old belt on this position. before removing i put my owne marks on cams. on each bank make marks were intake and exost gersclose to each other. also mark each cam to backcover and counted touth betwen marks on exost and intake gears. for crank pully make own marks to oil pump cover

  • nice video thanks, im waiting for UPS to arrived with the T40030 tool, how do you align the crankshatf ??? is it on TDC cyl #1 ??

i hope you get better with that sinus

  • justin

  • OK how to align the camshafts without the locking tools

wHERE ARE THE MARKS ON TH CAMSHAFTS

tHIS IS THE MILION DOLLAR QUESTION ?

  • @mariyan151 I don't think there are marks. Because when you loosen the cam gears from the camshafts you would move the timing. Same thing when you tighten them.

  • john?

  • nice john!!!
