I think I understand what you're saying a bit better. It's not that Catholics don't try to understand other religions or ideas. I learned about Islam, Protestantism, Buddhism, Atheism, and other ideas/faiths when growing up, and I do try to listen well to them so that when I'm replying, I'll know better on what to say on Truth. Truth, on a lot of levels, is hard to talk about, especially as a layperson, but I feel that it is written on our hearts. Mine is telling me God is Truth.

If that were true, then each of us would have a separate religion to ourselves, and not agree at all on anything. What I was trying to say is THE Truth is on people's hearts. I think I understand what you're saying a bit better. It's not that Catholics don't try to understand other religions or ideas. I learned about Islam, Protestantism, Buddhism, Atheism, and other ideas/faiths when growing up, and I do try to listen well to them so that when I'm replying, I'll know better on what to say on Truth. Truth, on a lot of levels, is hard to talk about, especially as a layperson, but I feel that it is written on our hearts. Mine is telling me God is Truth.

I think I should have said that last bit better. I didn't mean there's a different truth on each heart. If that were true, then each of us would have a separate religion to ourselves, and not agree at all on anything. What I was trying to say is THE Truth is on people's hearts. That's why, I think, that religions have similarities to each other. They're all trying to see the same thing, but sometimes just miss it. Also, you're right; because of free will, they can believe what they want.
