This Bane is pretty much gonna look like the Mutant Leader from Return of The Dark Knight by Frank Miller... not a big guy, more like a top notch protein shake fighter. The movie happens 9 years after TDK, so we're talking about a 40ish Batman against a 20ish guy, who by the way happens to be a criminal mastermind. Forget about the 90's steroid filled Bane, this looks better.

@MisterCovek to my knowledge, this has to do with the arkham breakout. If so, the point wouldn't be for them to kill all of the prisoners. They're supposed to be locked up, not shot to death for being set free. This happens in Knightfall... which I'd recommend reading before watching the film.

So he has something to do with the League of Shadows, and Scarecrow as well. So maybe he uses some chemicals to enhance his strenght, or as you said, on Batman. Who knows... this is Nolan we're talking about :)

When I think Batman; I think of a complex super genius/ detective/ master material artist w/ rich supporting characters. I did not see any of that in the 1st 2 films besides some minor flirting of such ideas, which are crucial to the char. and would’ve enhanced the film even more yet they were sacrificed for a cheesy love story (I guess to get the female audience)[but that is Hollywood repurposing]. I hope Nolan can end it by developing BM/BW chars.; thats where all the other films went wrong.

One of my major disappointments of the first two films, other than the horrible 'batman' voice, is the fighting. How can you have Michael Jai White on staff and still produce stiff karate 101. Making it even worst was the quick camera changes and cuts to make it look like he is moving fast and elusively. HOPEFULLY they will have more fluid martial arts action that pays respect to the character but based on this clip; I guess not :-(

@lordiboy69 With a $250million budget for this film, $150 for the 1st and $185 for the 2nd; I think they can afford to have the 2’ armor suit for dialog scenes and a lighter suit for action scenes, better yet they can hire fight scene choreographer. To reiterate my point, they had MICHAEL JAI WHITE on hand for the 2nd film who played Spawn in a full body prosthetic suit. Even in the 1st film the training with Ra’s was not all that impressive.

@Ninety9Soulz I'm not sure how it's going to end, honestly. I don't think batman will have any kind of a clear cut victory. Plus, it's important to consider than Bane, as far as villains go, isn't that bad of a guy. He and the bat have actually fought along side one another on a few occasions and Bane eventually took up a sort of "anti-hero" status. All I know is that I'm excited and I think Nolan is going to actually exploit all of Bane's various facets as a person.
