Also, I'm sure she knows that Sailor V is the first Sailor Senshi, but the English dub rarely refers to this aspect of her, which isn't even found out (in the English dub) until far into the series.

Gee, glad I didn't watch Sailor Moon as a kid. I never understood the appeal of the anime version. English sounds weird and Japanese was too crude and vulgar. In the manga version, the characters are more likeable. I know the reason Sailor Moon is an idiot b/c she was based on what the author was like as a teen. I understand that but geez, couldn't the author give SM some strengths and intelligence. Nobody likes a retarded hero/heroine!

I read the manga version and it is a lot better than the anime version. In the manga, the characters do start off as idiots but they quickly mature (unlike in the anime) and Serena and Darien were still loving toward each other after the first arc in the manga.
