I played rugby for a Fijian team at Marist in the early 80s, they were great, me not so much but once we went to Wellington by bus, the old ARA buses, it was a shit trip, uncomfortable as, but the singing I will always remember.
I miss Fiji so much! I had such an amazing time there! The people are so friendly and loving! Isa Lei is such a beautiful song and I loved hearing it! This brings back some awesome memories!
The people of Fiji are incredibly warm and loving people, and made us feel like a part of their family or village where ever we stayed. My wife and I especially loved the Yasawa islands, and found the resorts run and owned by the Fijians to be our favourite. As with all great experiences they all sadly end, and this song "Isa Lei" means both "JOY" and "Sorrow". Joy that comes with us being with them, and "SORROW" that we will soon be leaving their home or village. Vinaka.
no difference, same stock, but cuz the eastern side of the pacific is more a mix of people, historians switch the name on you and call it polynesia. All really of the same stock and origin.
