If this had been a slow balled, Jordin would have never heard the end of it because people would say she was trying to copy the great celine dion. Instead Jordin made it her own. I heard and read that disney had nothing to do with this. Jordins record company or people(battlefield) helped her with this or made the arrangement.......so that is coooooooool.

Btw, nothing against Jordin Sparks (I really like her music), but nothing can compare to the original magnificence of Angela Lansbury. Jordin Sparks is still much better than the likes of Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, and the Jonas Brothers though. She deserves major credit!

@garycwright : Gary, you are WRONG! Angela Lansbury was the voice of Mrs. Potts and she sang the ORIGINAL version in 1991. Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson did the remake of the song in 2002! I also love Celine & Peabo slower romantic version but I think Jordin's upbeat version is so different that there is non comparsion. I just love Jordin Sparks vocals and her version!

I saw Beauty & the Beast in '91 when I was about 11 going on 12. Celine Dion sang the song in the closing credits and she does it much better. This Jordin Sparks sings it terrible. You guys can have your 2000's verison of the song but the 1991 version with Celine Dion is a million times better

Jordin Sparkis has a great voice, but I'm sorry, you just can't mess with a song as classic as this one. I was worried they were going to do something like this when the Diamond Edition DVD came out. I really don't like the new version at all- the original versions by Angela Lansbury and Celine Deon/Peabo Bryson are by far the best.
