i really like how the song starts. the autotune?, the electroniky voice all frantic, the percussion dizzying the beat, the guitars and bass trying to follow. woo. and his screamo was nice. muffled. sweet song. like it!

Either way, I do. But not when someone tries to say one band/musician is a copy of another, it ticks me off. Even if both bands/musicians are good.

@KonTheory77 Actually in Japan it's intentional to copy other bands. Usually bands that start as roadies for other bands go on to sound like them. Kamijo was a roadie for Baiser and went on to form LAREINE, Kyo from Dir en grey was roadies for Kuroyume, Ruki from Gazette was a roadie for Dir en grey, etc... It's part of the sempai/kohai relationship dynamic in Japan. There's a ton of examples of it, so when a band sounds like another band it is often intentional.

@bestiaonthedrum I have no idea. They aren't a popular band so there's not much information on them. They sound like they are trying to emulate Dir en grey in some ways, but they are using a lot of electronic sounds which is something vk bands have done a lot in the last few years. They remind me of born in some ways too. I mostly like older visual kei so I'm a little hard pressed to really examine bands from the last 5 years or so.

@Blackmage777 Para:noir is quite a different band from most vk bands, I think. The impressive use of electronic sounds is something a lot of bands have been using last years indeed (fex. Royz, SuG, MoNoLith, Zoro etc. etc.) but this extensive use of auto-tuning can only be heard in songs from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which is a completely different genre. So I'm quite curious in which way you think they are trying to emulate Dir en Grey MUSICALLY.
