does it really matter if you write your own music? no it does not. a good song is a good song. i dont like a song or dislike it pending whether or not the musician wrote the thing. when i heard a good song i dont say, "did they write that, oh they didnt, well i dont like it then and they shouldnt be in the rock n roll hall of fame." the mystique is built up in what the performer gets out of the song, the feeling he/she puts into the instruments or just their voice alone. elvis is king.
