In my opinion, for offering perspective to the public, it seems good to poke at alcohol and tobacco because these are legal substances that are very destructive, whereas cannabis is illegal and does not carry these physical and social costs. A lot of people think that cannabis must be like alcohol, but worse since it's illegal. But we know it's actually the exact opposite of alcohol. This is a very glaring hypocrisy of our culture. There's a big legalization group centered on this called SAFER.

You speak the truth, i know a lot of people that would benefit from medical marijuana in my state... and it really saddens me that they can't get the relief they deserve, instead of marijuana they are prescribed harmful pain-killers that are addicting and harmful. @WakeUpAndLegalizeIt I agree with some of your words but weed can actually enhance pain in some and it has been brought up in the medical or scientific world. weed can amplify your arthritis or other deep pains just as it amplifys many other things like our hearing of music or words. Not that it doesn't help in nausea or the glaucoma instances. Pain meds especially without acetaminephine are very helpful in allowing one to move about and yes it is addicting to the body and mind.
@WakeUpAndLegalizeIt to add I think weed is like the pipe the Indians would pass about. It is a peace weed and should be among friends and when it isn't I think it makes for a uneasy time. I have seen people get violent or mean on weed which is not its typical outcome. Best to be smoked while you had a six pack of beer and than some which does kill off any potential hangover. Too bad it lasts in the system for too long. Is there any remedys for that which are proven to work?
