I like what you said. When I was younger, I was the only person I knew who looked forward to getting laid off - because I alway got a better job with more pay. I think you are absolutely right about this ebay thing. In a way its the same feeling as getting laid off because my ebay sales are now nearly negligible - thank for reminding me how it was when I was younger - things can and will be better because of this "lay-off".
Thank you for posting this video! I was really angry last Feb. over Ebay's announcement and have moved on to Etsy - a place for all things handmade. It is a great site and there are really very talanted people on this site. I have discovered that I like buying items that are one of a kind and not mass produced in China. You can buy vintage items on Etsy as well.
hey everybody I have had success listing for free on base. google. com fixed price listings, but there were actual sales, unlike several other sites I tried. I highly recommend it for selling or buying. (google shopping for buying, and base for listing)
Excellent words! I would have given you 5 stars if ratings weren't disabled!! It IS upto the individual. Let eBay do what they want ... and move on. I was a Power Seller with 100% positive feedback prior to the changes. I stopped listing on eBay a couple of months ago ... and life got better!!! There are other ways to make money online and keep more profit! -Thanks Sally.
EBay is more like a bull in a china shop these days. The seller is the person who sends them all of their revenue, yet we are left out of the decision making process. Just heard that eBay has had 2,000,000 fewer listings this year than last and that number includes 500,000 listings by buy. So, they are really off 2.5M listings. They strike me as an Amazon wannabe. Thanks for the comment
Very true. If you let eBay decide what will or won't change in your life on eBay, then you lose the ability to direct your own changes and growth. They just invited a new seller to ebay user id: buy - to list 500,000 items for free on eBay and they rushed it through before their 2nd quarter closed. It should be interesting who will save them next quarter. Numbers are what seem to count to them and not the eBay community.
It's very wise and kind of you. The only thing constant is change. It's such a romantic idea to think that ebay gets flushed and everyone is doing better without them. BRILLIANT ebay counted on the basic goodness in people and let them get away with a fortune. Easy come easy go.
i closed my ebay store one yr ago and opened an ecrater store, it's totally free, easy to use, no listing fee, no FVF. I love it! ebay is a sinking ship, get out of there asap.
I am presently putting together a 4-part series for creating your own eCommerce website using WordPress and doing it in about 3 hours. Part 1 will be out by July 8, 2008. This is another alternative to eBay. I am still in favor of staying on eBay for selling, but not in the volume I have in the past. Their fees are just too high.
Let's GO YAHOO. Now's the time to make a comeback.

I have had several people tell me about this. I have to look this up - it sounds promising.

Very true. One should never block or lock themselves into one source if they are auctioning.
