  • Ahh, The Boogie from "A Step Further" album #5 for Savoy Brown with Chris Youlden on vocals. Those were the days. I saw them later during the SAVOY BROWN BAND #9 tour with 1) Kim Simmonds guitar 2) Paul Raymond whirlitzer piano 3) Andy Sylvester bass 4) Dave Bidwell drums and crazy 5) Dave Walker on vocals October 19, 1972: Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, CA, USA with Uriah Heep, and d Hemlock.

  • Savoy Brown some of the best rock on the planet

  • "I feel so good, I've got to boogie till the break of dawn ..."

  • Words cannot describe this quintessential rock star. I chauffeured Kim Simmonds from the airport to this event in Dallas. This is the way it's done folks. Take notes. Fman

  • @EvolvDiet saw him at the granada, smokin' show...

  • Wow I wore out their Raw Sienna album many years ago. So glad to see him sounding and looking great still!

  • Im outdoors you know people

  • @56BUICKRiviera

    I KNOW.....everybody funny.....now, you funny TOO....rock on man.

  • I just saw Kim and Savoy Brown (whoever's in the band this week) at the Throckmorton Theatrer in Mill Valley and as usual they rocked the joint! SEE THEM!!! Your ears and soul will thank you.

  • I saw them a long time ago in Oklahoma City. Simmons new albums are great, these old guys seem to get better with age. I did like Chris Youlden on vocals.

  • kim's found the fountain of youth.

  • Saw Savoy Brown in the early '70s in Clemson, SC. Was blown away. Hard, hard blues. Orange Amps? Seems like it. Rock on Kim...Jack

  • How the blues and boogie were totally meant to be played.

  • Saw Savoy Brown with Humble Pie in Denver '72 when Dave Walker was on vocals.

What a hard drivin' boogie band they were!

  • This is the best blues guitarist ever. Rock on Kim Simmonds!

  • The year was 69. My lady & I traveled to the Santa Monica Civic to see Savoy Brown. Kim lit the air w/ blazing guitar fire. I said to myself (again): "This is landmark". Like when I saw the very early Janis prior to her explosion or Rod's vocals with Beck on "Truth". Sad to say the universal explosion never happened with Savoy Brown. Shame & yet, we all in that hall that night, witnessed glory and eternal bliss... (They can't take that away). Thank you Kim Simmons (and band mates)!

  • If you never saw Savoy Brown live , you missed something.

  • I NEED TO GET more savoy brown TABS if anyone can HEL ME PLEASE¿¿¿

  • BOOGIE-ON!!!

  • saw this guy at a blues fest this year what a show!!!

  • Kim you are the real deal, those are awesome hooks!

  • Kim is a great guitarist & showman - I remember seeing Savoy Brown at the Fillmore East in 69 doing this song with Chris Youlden on vocals

  • those chords and solos are earth shattering ,was noonan dancing on stage with savoy brown you can read about it in bill grahames autobiography

  • Oh hell yeah...REAL boogie!

  • Man I didn't know he was still playing! I wore out my Savoy Brown Boogie. "Till The Break of Dawn"!

  • Thanks for posting this. Good to see Kim layin' down that boogie beat!

  • Been listening to Savoy Brown since 68. Kim Simmons in the real thing, it's so great to see guys like this still making real music!

  • Ah yes the only constant to Savoy Brown.Been listening to Simmonds since early 72. He still rocks
