*sigh* When are they gonna set all these people straight? CHRIS DAUGHTRY is the frontman... DAUGHTRY is the band!! That is poor marketing techniques on behalf of the label, imo. I guess as long as they sell records they don't really give a f*@k. Pitiful.
appreciate your genre's, but don't judge. Daughty's CD is great, and if it isn't your cup of tea, shove it up your college/grunge/gothic/metal/death/ asses!!! LOL
You have to be kidding! Daughtry the savior of rock?? Get real! I live in Miami and I NEVER hear them on my local rock station! I hear them on the station that plays POP!!! The Foo Fighters rule rock today not wannabe Daughtry!!!!
They gotta do what they gotta do to support their families and still be a musician. Power to them all to do what they love and get paid for it. DAUGHTRY is a talented band and I don't care what they want to call the type of music.
Well, I have some respect, as his music might be mainstream, it is not terrible. I would say that he not saving rock, but more of an image. Look at all of these emo rock bands that are still topping the charts, which are rock bands in there own right, but they have a sissy boy image. All Daughtry is going is saving a normal guy image in rock.
Nobody is a savior of anything, the music business is too big, but he is certainly helping. Watch how many heavier bands do more crossover songs now. Even Sevendust is doing it and they are about as heavy as mainstream rock gets.
I don't see anything as selling out, I see it as reaching a wider audience to secure your longevity. I'd much rather my favorite band make 'sell out' music and be around for a long time for me to enjoy than have them say 'f everyone' and fall off the map.
This is absolutly true daughtry has what it takes to save rock and they are one of the only rock bands that you do hear on the radio
